Situated in a small village near the stunning Cotswolds, The Pine Cottage really is a retreat in all but name. Perfect for your hen weekends who want their celebration to be one away from the busy town and cityscapes of more traditional destinations.
It promises to give your group plenty of togetherness to celebrate the hen's last night of freedom. Its rural nature doesn’t mean it has to be all peace, quiet, and serenity, as the fantastic Pine Cottage can host an amazing selection of mobile activities. Hens can enjoy the fabulous Drag Academy or mobile pamper sessions.
Location: Near Bampton (Downton Abbey Village)
The Pine Cottage is situated in a charming West Oxford village, close to the famous market town of **Bampton** being only 2 miles away. Hardcore fans of the popular TV show **Downton Abbey** may recognise certain parts of this picturesque town as the village scenes were all filmed here.
There are some other amazing things within reasonable driving distance which are sure to make your weekend a hit. The cottage is about 5 miles away from the excellent **Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens**. Described as ‘theatre with plants’, these stunning gardens are well worth a visit. Enjoy any of the available food stalls within the park or perhaps take your own picnic and relax with a bottle of bubbly.
For those mornings when you fancy a walk in the fresh air to wash away those cobwebs from the night before, the **Thames Footpath** is nearby giving you easy access to the countryside.
Private Hot Tub & Covered Garden
The outside area is covered so you can use it whatever the weather and has a high fence to ensure your hen weekend has maximum privacy. There is rattan style garden furniture for you to use and the state-of-the-art **Hot Tub** makes for the perfect addition to your weekend, with lighting adding to the party vibe.
Open Plan Lounge & Stone Fireplace
The spacious open plan lounge area is a great place for your hen weekend to relax. There are sofas to chill out on and the large stone-clad feature fireplace makes for an atmospheric feature. It's also great for keeping cosy and warm on those cooler autumn and winter evenings. There’s also a TV to ensure your group don’t miss your favourite show.
Dining Area & Kitchen
The dining part has a table where you can all eat and play games together, and the cabinet has an ice bucket and plenty of glassware for you to use throughout your stay.
One of our most popular Cotswolds hen weekend activities is the immersive **Murder Mystery**, which sees professional actors come to the Pine Cottage and host a fantastic whodunit. It’s also the perfect space in which to enjoy the labours of one of our amazing **Private Chefs**, who can visit the property and whip up a delicious two or three-course meal.
The Pine Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen area, with all the white goods you’d expect for a weekend away including a microwave, coffee machine, oven, hob, and the all-important fridge.
