The stunning Retreat 12 is a superb rural cottage for your stag or hen do. This gorgeous, modern, open plan property, set within acres of stunning countryside as far as the eyes can see, truly encapsulates the countryside vibe with it’s rustic wooden features and exposed brick walls combining well with modern appliances and conveniences to give your stag or hen party an amazing experience. Its rural location is perfect for groups who want to get away from it all and focus on your celebrations and enjoying each other’s company. The outside terrace acts as a wonderful focal point when it comes to socialising, the top quality hot tub will no doubt be popular for many in the group and the outside bar area has plenty of seating for everyone in the group to sit back relax and enjoy a glass of bubbles or two. The retreat 12 is certainly one of those stag and hen cottages that can be described as striking and when your group pull into the spacious driveway the wow factor will definitely be evident from your group.
Location
The retreat 12 is situated 8 miles south of Bristol and 10 miles north of Wells, which means stag and hen dos can have the best of both worlds when it comes to choosing what kind of stag or hen weekend you’d like to have, as groups are close enough to the bright lights of Bristol if you fancy eating out, enjoying some retail therapy or you fancy dancing the night away in one of Bristol’s amazing nightlife venues. We can of course, organise return minibus transfers for your group to the city of you would like to plan an evening out.
Being so rural your group will enjoy stunning views of the rolling hills and countryside of Somerset and the expansive, well-manicured grounds of the cottage are perfect for lazing around and enjoying a bbq in the summer.
Parking won’t be an issue here as there is space for multiple cars on the gravel driveway. There are some small villages nearby with convenience stores should you need an emergency pint of milk.
The House
Outside
The outside space of this hen party cottage is a fantastic social space for your group. The top quality hot tub will, no doubt, prove popular with many in the group and the outside bar has plenty of seating for all the members of your group. There is even a tv, if you fancy an al fresco movie night. The outside terrace is perfect for hosting our cocktail making masterclass if you would like to add that as part of your Retreat 12 package or you can simply enjoy the weather and a glass of bubbles and socialise. The terrace area also has BBQ facilities to use if you would like to use them and there’s even a patio heater to keep your group comfortable when the sun starts to go down. The views from the terrace are superb and give you panoramic views of the rolling somerset hills, which act as an amazing backdrop for your stag or hen weekend.
Bedrooms
Sleeps 12 in 3 bedrooms all in single beds. The spacious bedrooms are well configured to give you the best use of space with good quality single beds and quality linen and towels are provided.
Lounge Area
The lounge are comes with a large sofa that can seats everyone in the group so you can relax and catch a movie together.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The spacious open plan kitchen comes fully equipped with top of the range appliances and all crockery, glassware and utensils are there for your group to use throughout the weekend. The bi fold doors leads to the gorgeous gardens and terrace and give the kitchen & dining area a light and airy feel. The dining area has enough seating for all members of the group ensuring mealtimes are social. If you would like something really special for the stag or hen, then why not add a private chef to your Retreat 12 package to prepare and serve up a delicious 2 or 3 course meal for your group in a variety of styles, if you really want to spice up the event maybe you’d like to add a cheeky butler to serve you your meal and keep your wine glass topped off with any bubbles you’ve brought with you.
