Good times gonna roll!

Essential Hen Party Activities Guide

Gone are the days when every hen do followed the same script. In 2026, personalization is the ultimate watchword in hen weekend organisation. Whether your group wants high-octane adrenaline filled activities, a "naughty-but-nice" cabaret, a morning spent crafting bespoke jewellery, or a long, boozy lunch, the options in this day and age are almost endless.

At The Stag and Hen Experience, we’ve organized thousands of celebrations. To help you pick the perfect event, we’ve categorized the most popular UK and European activities into eight distinct "vibes."

1. The "Crowd-Pleasers": Most Popular for a Reason

Cocktail Making: The undisputed king (or queen) of hen activities. Available in almost every destination, these classes ensure everyone has a drink in hand while learning to shake, stir, and pour like a pro. A mixologist will teach you how to make cocktails you’ve heard of as well as cocktails you’ve never heard of – by the end you’ll almost certainly have a new favourite drink.

Escape Rooms: A modern classic. Escape rooms do an amazing job of encouraging teamwork - your group will be locked in a room filled with puzzles and brainteasers, and you’ll have to work together to solve them. They are a great icebreaker for groups who don’t know each other well, and come in a wide range of themes, so if the hen is a fan of a particular TV show, film series, book or any other kind of pop culture media, you’ll probably find one to fit that theme perfectly.

Pamper Days: The perfect "reset" button. Whether you do it on the first morning to set the tone for your weekend away in style or whether you keep it for the Sunday morning to act as a recovery aid after a weekend of heavy drinking, a day of saunas, steam rooms, and pools is never a bad idea.

2. The "Foodie Hen": For the Ladies Who Lunch

For many groups, the best memories are made around a table. Food-based activities are excellent because they double as a meal and entertainment, which means you are getting more bang for your buck.

Afternoon Tea with Unlimited Prosecco: A brilliant activity that has rocketed up the lists of most popular hen weekend activities for good reason. After all, it satisfies both your tastebuds and your thirst, which is essential. Enjoy a spread of sandwiches and cakes with the prosecco flowing for two entire hours – how many glasses can you get through in that time?

Chocolate & Cupcake Making: We’ve coupled these two activities together as they share a lot of similarities. Whether you prefer chocolate or cakes, you’ll be busy in the kitchen before you know it. Whether you are making truffles or decorating cupcakes, you’ll be having a great time. The best part? You get to eat your creations straight away.

Cheese & Wine Tasting: One of our most unique activities which is particularly popular on an Amsterdam Hen Do. It’s a sophisticated way to spend an afternoon sampling the world's best savoury treats while polishing off a glass or three of wine along the way.

Medieval Banquets: For an extravagant night, quaff wine from goblets and enjoy piles of roasted meats while being entertained by classic medieval performers. It’s an experience unlike any other.ers.

3. The "Zen Hen": Relaxed & Low-Key

Not every weekend needs to be high-octane. If the bride-to-be prefers a chilled vibe, then these options are perfect:

Punting & Prosecco: Available in the historic cities of Cambridge and Oxford. Hire a chauffeur to pole you down the river while you sip bubbles and take in the sights. The smooth bobbing of the boat and the stunning views will get you nice and relaxed.

Bottomless Brunch: The ultimate late-morning activity. Enjoy a two-hour window of unlimited cocktails or prosecco paired with anything from a Full English to Caribbean or Mexican cuisine depending on the venue.

Psychic Hen Night: A mind-blowing addition to a night in. A professional psychic comes to your accommodation to give readings to the girls, letting them know what the future holds for their love lives and careers. Will you gain valuable insights into the

Mobile Pampering: If you've booked a Hen House, then you’re already having the most relaxed hen, so why not go the extra mile and have the spa come to you? Relax in your pyjamas with a glass of bubbly while therapists provide massages, manicures, and facials. Pure relaxation without ever having to leave the house.

4. The "Creative Soul": Crafty & Bespoke

Crafty and creative hen do activities are on the up and up, as more and more ladies want to indulge in their hobbies on a weekend away, and why not?

Crafternoons: Spend a relaxing afternoon learning a new skill. From Fascinator Making (wear them to the wedding!) to Jewellery Making with Swarovski crystals, you’ll walk away with a personalized memento and a new skill (or at least the beginnings of a new skill!)

Naughty Crafts: If you still want to get crafty but want something with a bit more of an adult edge for the hen do, why not try Knicker Making or Lingerie Crafting? You’ll get to design lacy garters or nipple tassels to keep as a fun reminder of the weekend.

5. The "Action Junkie": Wild Adrenaline

I mean, the name itself tells you what this category is going to be about! Activities for the hen who likes a bit of a thrill…

White Water Rafting: Brave the rapids on an inflatable raft. With six of you in each raft, you’ll be heading into a high-adrenaline adventure that is perfect for a hen who likes things a bit wilder than others. Can you handle it?

Inflatable Games (It’s A Knockout): Think of a school sports day, but for adults. Exact events can vary by destination, but if you think about the sort of thing that Total Wipeout used to show on the TV, you won’t be too far wrong. Featuring giant inflatable logs, buckets of water, and plenty of "gunge", it’s an activity unlike any other.

West Country Games: Hilarious, tongue-in-cheek fun involving "Welly Wanging" and the "Cider Run" to name just two of the many events you’ll get to take part in. You’ll be split into teams as well, so it’s a great time to get competitive.

6. The Dance Studio: Pick Your Routine

Whether you are a dancing queen or have two left feet, everyone enjoys a dance!

Pop Classics: Master a routine to ABBA, the Spice Girls, or Grease. A perfect activity to bring you all together and teach you something that you can show off at the reception.

Sultry Styles: Learn the art of the feather boa in Burlesque or hit the studio for a high-skill Pole Dancing session. It’ll be an amazing bonding experience for you all, and you may go home with a new skill to dazzle your partner with as well.

Modern Vibes: Try Street Dance or the iconic Dirty Dancing (Baby lifts included if you think you can handle it!).

7. The "Spiced-Up" Nightlife: Naughty but Nice

For those hens who are looking for activities that have their tongue firmly in their cheek…

Bingo Lingo & Funny Boyz: Interactive nights featuring twerk-offs, lip-sync battles, drag queens, and confetti cannons. It’s "Bingo" like you’ve never seen it before, and the memories will last a lifetime.

Dominatrix Class: Head into an actual dungeon with a professional to learn basics like rope bondage and "Mistress-class" skills. Not for the faint hearted, but is definitely something unique.

Nude Life Drawing: Exercise your artistic skills (and have a good look) by sketching a male model. A "posh" alternative to a standard strip show, with the advantage that you can take your drawing home with you as a reminder of your skills (or just a reminder of the model himself!)

Strippers & Cheeky Butlers: The traditional hen favourites. Hire a "Bronzed Adonis" for a private show or a Cheeky Butler to serve your drinks dressed only in an apron, collar, and cuffs. These are always perfect if you have a hen house booked, as they can come and perform for you right there in your accommodation.

8. The Bargain Hunter: Budget-Friendly Daytime Fun

Looking for something budget-friendly that you can add to a hen do package? Don’t worry, we’ve got a couple of great options here.

Smartphone Treasure Hunts: At just £10 per person, this is the ultimate budget hack. Use your phone to solve clues across the city or embark on a "Pub Crawl Treasure Hunt." It really gives you an aim and a focus on a night of exploration, perfectly pairing with the inevitable drinks!

Pool-Only Spa Access: Many hotels allow all-day access to pools and jacuzzis for a small fee without requiring expensive treatments, which is a perfect addition. And if anyone does fancy a treatment (or you want to club together and get one for the hen), then they are very easy to add on.

Low-Cost Dance Workshops: Activity-only packages for dance workshops can start from as little as £34 per person, including evening nightlife entry. So even if you just want a daytime activity to accommodate as many people as possible, that can be within most people’s budget!
