Intro
Salisbury is an amazing place. A small city, close to the traditional staycation destination, Bournemouth, and the City of Southampton. Salisbury has held city status for centuries, which goes to show its historical importance. Its famous Cathedral is a dominating and impressive landmark among a city that fuses centuries-old and modern-day buildings into what visitors find today. In fact, the City was so important that Salisbury Cathedral possesses one of the four original drafts of the Magna Carta, which is a nice little nugget of information and worth visiting the cathedral to check out a piece of British History. Obviously, we’re meant to be talking about Salisbury as a stag and hen do destination, so I’ll stop with the history lesson and get on with it! The Stables Cottage is a great stag and hen party accommodation about 4 miles from the City and can sleep up to eight guests comfortably in three rooms, meaning it’s the ideal party house for smaller groups who want a great level of privacy on their stag or hen do, yet still be relatively close to more vibrant towns or cities in which to enjoy some other activities.
Location
As mentioned in the introduction, Salisbury lies a little over 4 miles away and is easy to get to by cab or if you’re driving there yourself. The city has a good number of options for activities and things to see and do whilst on your Salisbury stag or hen do. Escape Rooms are available in the city for those who wish to take on a classic challenge, and for those who want to indulge, then you can enjoy great value activities like the Bottomless Brunch. If you’re a wine aficionado, there’s a smashing Vineyard outside the city centre offering tours and tastings, which is a fantastic group activity for both stags and hens. Salisbury Racecourse is always a popular stag and hen do activity for those who want to get their glad rags on and enjoy a flutter at the GG’s. Finally, if you’re celebrating your stag and hen do in Salisbury, the legendary Stonehenge is only a 20-minute drive away and always worth a visit if you’re in the area, especially if you’ve never visited before.
The New Forest is a short drive away and offers stag and hen dos something a little different from the city life Salisbury has to offer, with activities available that include Horse Riding and the challenging team-working classic, High Ropes Course, being popular with groups. The New Forest also has a water sports centre offering the hilarious Inflatable Waterpark and Waterskiing if you’re feeling adventurous, whilst the many small villages and hamlets of The New Forest have a number of pubs and restaurants that offer a variety of menu styles in a classic traditional pub environment. For the car lovers, the Beaulieu Motor Museum is a great attraction, and the grounds and local area offer a fantastic place to have a picnic or a game of football or rounders. Oh yeah, let's not forget the famous New Forest Ponies, always a pretty sight!
Whilst Salisbury is an amazing place for your stag and hen do, one thing you may wish to do on your stag or hen do is head to the beach. The ever-popular Bournemouth beaches are only 27 miles away on ‘A’ roads, so you’re not far away from some sun, sea, and sand of these award-winning beaches. In Bournemouth, there is also a fantastic selection of stag and hen do activities as well as nightlife if you want to spread your wings for a day out.

The House
Outside
The charming Salisbury Cottage has a small garden perfect for eight guests to laze around and enjoy the sunshine. Both Stag and Hen dos will no doubt appreciate the top-of-the-range Hot Tub, which is the perfect way to spend some time relaxing in, whatever the time of day. There’s plenty of seating, and pub-style benches and tables are there to use, as well as some other garden furniture for you to enjoy the garden area, and superb barbecue facilities are provided for you to enjoy an alfresco grill or two throughout your stay. There is plenty of parking on site, and the garden is framed by high hedgerows, giving your stag and hen group much-needed privacy.

There are two bathrooms in the property, and there are three spacious bedrooms, some of which come with bedroom furniture in which to store your belongings. All towels and linen are provided for your convenience.

Lounge, Kitchen & Diner
The large dining area with seating and places for all eight of your party acts as a great social space to enjoy any stag and hen party games you’ve brought with you, and mealtimes keep everyone together in a social setting. The spacious lounge area includes a wood burner for those cooler evenings, and some firewood is provided for your group should your stay be during the winter months. There’s also a large wall-mounted TV and sofas for everyone, meaning you’ll never miss an episode of your favourite TV show, and movie nights are definitely on the menu should you wish. The kitchen area comes with all the mod cons your group would need for your celebration, and that includes all cookware, glassware, and cutlery.
