INTRO

This luxuriously furnished Scottish homestead is located in the heart of Scotland at Argyll’s ‘Secret Coast’. Just north of Loch Riddon, The Jack can be reached by car (and ferry) and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and rolling Scottish Highlands. There is ample parking and the property is extravagantly furnished to the very highest standard. Both hen and stag dos will no doubt want to take advantage of the a sauna and hot tub, which are great to help you pep up after a long journey. There is also a games room, which is shared with the two other stag and hen party houses on site, the Queen and The King, You can also book out use of the swimming pool, which is again shared with the tow other cottages on the site. Despite being so rural you won’t be short of things to enjoy on your stag or hen weekend at The Jack . There are also twenty acres of land to be discovered by walking and trekking, biking or running the surrounding scenery is simply stunning scenery all around.

LOCATION

The views and countryside are spectacular, and if you have time do head out and visit local settlements. Step back in time at The Colintraive Heritage Centre and discover the story of the village and its farming heritage over the last 150 years. There are pleasant walks along the shore of the Kyles of Bute, great for walkers and cyclists, leading to a small 19th century church This impressive and comfortable party house is just under two hours by car from Glasgow. Alternatively you can catch the Gourock to Dunoon ferry and enjoy finding your sea legs and enjoying It is the idyllic place to base yourself to see what the Hebrides scenery has to offer. Argyll and the surrounding Isles is one of the best places in Scotland to see iconic wildlife including golden eagles, red deer and otters.

INSIDE

On entry, the ground floor opens up into the main living space with beautiful, original exposed brick walls which feature in the kitchen and living areas and are a stunning contrast to the Travertine marble flooring which adds a natural beauty to this accommodation with its layered textures and veining.

There are separate kitchen, living, TV room and dining spaces, so plenty of areas for gatherings, but as we all know, a party will often conjugate in the kitchen, and the kitchen in this fabulous farmhouse can certainly accommodate. Plus with underfloor heating all the way through the ground and first floors, you won’t be getting worried about being cold; the house should stay cosy and warm for the duration of your stay. From the main living space on the ground floor, there is a doorway through to the kitchen to the left, and to the right is an enclosed playroom / TV room where there are some extra beds available should they be required. There is also a further dining room with beautiful French polished oak dining table surrounded by bench seating for all the guests. The private sauna is also on the ground floor with nearby shower and toilet access and then the stairs leads to all seven bedrooms and the two main bathrooms.

The Kitchen

The doorway into the kitchen is an impressive original exposed stone arch. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up delicious three course meals for your party. If no one wants to cook, why not hire in a personal chef for the weekend to make sure no one has to lift a finger in the kitchen. There is an American style fridge freezer with ice maker you can keep fully stocked and all the crockery, plates, pans and glassware you will need for your stay. There is a dishwasher and washing machine under the counter and there is a coffee machine, kettle and toaster on the countertop to make sure everyone gets their morning hit of caffeine or tea and toast to munch on. A beautiful Belfast sink sits in the black granite countertop and a French polished extendable island unit sits in one corner with bar stools surrounding. Plenty of light is let in through the large glass archway giving a real modern day feel in contrast to the exposed stone walls and marble flooring.

Bedrooms

All main bedrooms have their own handwash basins in the room and have top quality mattresses and bed linen.

Plenty of hanging space is available for all the clothing and the woodland and mountain views from the windows are spectacular.

Restrooms

The three restrooms are all stylish and spared no expense; they include floor to ceiling ivory tiling exquisitely laid to perfection and contrasting well with the natural stone floors. The two bathrooms on the first floor feature a jacuzzi bath for your complete comfort and enjoyment throughout your stay.

Outside & The Hot tub

As you would expect for a Scottish property in the Hebrides – the grounds surrounding this party house are beautiful, offering stunning panoramic views of folding landscape and rolling hills. At night-time the hot tub on the terrace gives an uninterrupted vista of starlit skies and a table and chair area is set up just next to it. There is an outdoor heated pool available for an hour a day for your party, and a football pitch within the twenty acres that are available for roaming and discovering. You will find there is zero light pollution once the sun sets for the day so make sure you check out that sky and listen to all the wildlife that flourishes in nature.
