Dublin Party House (Sleeps 24)
Perfect for hen parties who want something more luxurious for their Dublin hen party, The Shamrock Retreat, should definitely be on your shortlist. It’s a superb party house conveniently located close to Dublin city centre, however, rural enough so you get maximum privacy. The Shamrock Retreat sleeps from 16-22 guests and comes with a whole wealth of cool features that leave even the most luxurious hotels behind. The property has been purposely designed and configured especially for groups and it’s 5500 square footage living space ensure that despite being together as a large group in one property, you have enough space to have a memorable and comfortable Dublin hen weekend.
22 Mins from Dublin Airport
There are a couple of great options when it comes to getting to the property, with flying being the number one choice. Most UK airports fly direct to Dublin, with a few regional exceptions. The Shamrock Retreat is only 22 minutes from Dublin Airport so a short transfer sees you checking in to your accommodation quickly so you can start your party earlier! We can organise your return airport transfers for you to and from the airport to take the hassle out of getting to and from the airport. For those that enjoy a road trip can get the direct ferry from Holyhead to Dublin which takes 3-3 ½ hours plus your drive time to get to Holyhead. This is a great experience in itself as the saying goes, half the fun is getting there!
The Shamrock Retreat is located on the edge of a large village, Northwest of Dublin and provides easy access to the centre should your party wish to head into the city to soak up some of its infectious energy. There’s daily regular bus services to the city centre taking roughly 45 minutes (the 103 bus) and for those that want to stay in the city because they’re having too much fun, there are taxis and Ubers for those that want to stay in the city till the early hours.
Ratoath Village itself, has some pubs and eateries to explore, The Graingers, Ratoath inn is well regarded and offers food including breakfast, drinks and even shows the sport. The Auld Stand is another well thought of pub which serves food and both have outdoor seating for those that want to enjoy some fresh air, whilst WTF Burger gives mealtimes a more American diner style vibe. All these venues are easily accessible from the property. There is also a Tesco express in the town in case you need some quick emergency supplies and there is a large Tesco Superstore in nearby Ashbourne, however many hen parties find it easier to get a food delivery in.

Another fantastic activity is the MAC makeup experience, which sees a specialist come and do your makeup in the Shamrock Retreats dedicated makeup studio (only open to groups that have booked the makeup experience)

The kitchen is well stocked with all the conveniences you’ll need for your weekend. The large American style fridge freezer will keep your supplies in prime condition and there’s also a dedicated wine fridge. Theres a small breakfast bar, which doubles up as the perfect food prep space when prepping. The dining table is perfect for group meals and sit 20 guests.

5 large spacious bedrooms with the mezzanine sleeping area for larger groups. The bed configuration is as follows:-
Bedroom One – 1 King size bed and 1 sofa bed (sleeps 4)
Bedroom Two – 1 King size bed and 2 single beds (sleeps 4)
Bedroom Three – 1 King sized bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom Four – 2 King sized beds and 1 single bed (sleeps 5)
Bedroom Five – 1 King size bed and 3 single beds (sleeps 5)
The Mezzanine – 4 single beds (sleeps 4)
Bedding is provided according to group size.
There are also six bathrooms so you’ll never be queuing to get ready to go out exploring.
Lounge, Sauna & Pool Table
The living area has been decorated in a fun party vibe colour scheme and there are comfy oversize sofas to relax and unwind in. There is a wall mounted TV and and a fireplace, perfect for those colder evenings. These are fantastic additions to the property and can really enhance your Dublin hen do. There is a pool table for when things get competitive, a projector, screen and soundbar for movie nights in, and for some serious relaxing there is a Sauna that really compliments the hot tub, mini gym and pool the Shamrock Retreat offers. All these features put the proverbial cherry on to of your Dublin hen party.
Summer Pool & 7-Seater Hot Tub
Outside the property you’ll find a private walled garden area, perfect for your groups privacy. There is a separated area referred to as an outdoor lounge area. This is a fantastic social space perfect for lazing around in the sun. It’s covered so you can even enjoy any summer showers! There is a state of the art 7 seater hot tub for you to enjoy and although towels are provided for showering etc, we’d highly recommend brining your own for using the hot tub. There is an unheated pool which is available during the summer months (1 st June – 31st August) for you to enjoy, please note the pool is unheated.
