INTRO
If you are looking for somewhere that offers the perfect combination of hideaway fun while still providing you the available entertainments and enjoyments that being near a city provides when planning your perfect hen do, then you really ought to be giving some consideration to Lincoln Sanctuary. This amazing property gives you the freedom to have all of your party together, while also allowing lots of individual space and caters to any size party from four to fifty four! How do they do this, I hear you ask? Well, the Lincoln Sanctuary has a selection of properties and there are a wide range of combinations that you can look to book in order to fit the requirements for your group.
LOCATION
Lincoln Sanctuary is located just ten minutes from the centre of Lincoln, and since Lincoln is a university city, you can rest assured that while it may not be the biggest of cities, it has a plentiful supply of activities and nightlife to suit any hen do. In fact, some of its nightclubs are well known as being the best place to dance until the early hours of the morning – and since the Farm is only ten minutes away, you can do that with the full confidence that you won’t find it hard to get yourselves home after you’ve spent the night drinking, dancing and laughing with your friends – which is all pretty amazing.
THE PROPERTIES
As mentioned earlier, Lincoln Sanctuary has a selection of properties depending on your group size – so let me give you the details of what’s what, and which are going to be the best for you.
ORCHARD LODGE
The Orchard Lodge is a gorgeous lodge designed to sleep up to twelve guests. It’s one of those places where the moment you enter it, you’ll find yourself entranced and overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the place. Downstairs there is everything you might want or expect from a hen do property – with a well equipped kitchen (filled with all the mod cons you could need), as well as a dining area, and a super comfortable living area, which gives you plenty of space to sit and relax.
There are three bedrooms in the lodge, configured as follows:
Bedroom 1 – Two double beds
Bedroom 2 – One double bed and one single bed
Bedroom 3 – One double bed
For those of you who can add up, I appreciate that’s not twelve bed spaces, but don’t panic – there are also two sofa beds in the property, giving you plenty of space to sleep twelve of you. But what if there’s a few more of you? What if there are fourteen of you? Or fifteen? Well, that’s where the great multi-property configuration of Lincoln Sanctuary comes into play.
For example, if you’ve booked the lodge, but also then need a couple more beds, there are two smaller properties located just opposite the lodge that are ideal. One is the Hideaway – perfect if you just need one or two more bedspaces, as this is a small studio lodge with a double bed – a nice little self-contained unit opposite the main lodge. Or, alternatively, there’s the Chalet. This sleeps up to five people, with two double bedrooms and a sofa bed all included, as well as its own kitchen, diner etc. Combining all of these together mean that the lodge with chalet and hideaway can take up to nineteen people – perfect size for an amazing hen do.
BARN
The second option for your group stay, the barn is (as you would expect from the name) a converted barn. Again, just like the lodge, this has everything you need for a hen weekend, with a well equipped kitchen and wonderful dining area, along with a mezzanine living area, perfect for sitting, drinking and putting the world to rights.
From a bedroom standpoint, there’s one dedicated bedroom which contains two double beds, and the mezzanine living room level contains two sofa beds, so it effectively turns into a second bedroom with a stunning view!
Just like the lodge, if you need a few more bed-spaces, there are additional properties that you can combine with the barn to incorporate a larger group. There’s an annexe that connects to the barn which is a studio lodge which includes a double bed, kitchen, dining area and bathroom if you just need to add up to four more people, or if you need a few more, there is both the Stable and the Cartshed, both of which are opposite the Barn and are studio-style lodges. The Stable adds up to four more bed spaces for you, and the cartshed adds up to five – so if you combine them all, you could be looking at a total of twenty one bed spaces!
HAYLOFT
The third option to consider when booking a group into Lincoln Sanctuarys is the
Hayloft. This has a slightly different configuration to the rest of the
properties. Downstairs is the kitchen, the living area, the dining area, three w/c’s
and two shower rooms, and then the entire upstairs is one big long dormitory
bedroom filled with six double beds. For some groups, this is the best possible
alternative as it means you can all sit up chatting long after you intended to
go to bed, and that’s where some of the best conversations on any hen do take
place!
Again, just like the others, you can combine any of the other buildings with the hayloft – the only building we haven’t mentioned is the Boxcar (sleeps 2), which is a railway carriage glamping pod, situated between all the other properties, and which definitely has a vibe all of it’s own!
OUTSIDE
Whichever of these properties sound like the best option to you, they all have outside patio areas allowing you to sit, relax and enjoy the stunning farm views, as well as hot tubs which mean you can toast the sunset with a glass of prosecco or three while relaxing with the girls.
