Stargazer New Forest

INTRO

The New Forest makes for a stunning backdrop for your stag or hen do, this historic area of natural beauty was declared a royal forest by William the Conqueror (of 1066 fame) and enjoyed by nobles for hunting, It also features in the Doomsday book so it’s an area that has played a big part of local (and royal) life throughout history. Today you can enjoy the stunning scenery and see the wild horses, ponies and other wildlife that call The New Forest its home. A New Forest hen do is perfect for groups who want a countryside retreat with their nearest and dearest to celebrate their upcoming wedding and playing a large part of your New Forest hen do will be the accommodation and that’s where the amazing Star Gazer accommodation comes in. This superb three-bedroom lodge is situated in a beautiful rural setting in Hampshire and is an absolute gem of a property for your hen do. Stags dos don’t have to feel left out as they also accept stags as well. The entire lodging can sleep up to ten guests with some additional accommodation in the form of a Shepherds Hut and a double bed ensuite annexe. The grounds are private with lots of parking available. There is an outdoor BBQ patio with seating for eight and a gorgeous hot tub for your exclusive use throughout your stay.

LOCATION

Nestled in the idyllic and peaceful little hamlet of a short distance from the town of market town of Fordingbridge, this stunning hen party accommodation is easy to reach by car. You will feel the peace and serenity of the area the minute you arrive. Stunning views of the New Forest surround you and you only have to take one step outside the front door for the breathtaking views of this tranquil part of the country. There are nature walks and cycle routes in abundance available to you. There is a superb country pub down the road, which serves delicious food and is a favourite among hikers and locals, which is definitely worth a visit, although it gets very busy in the summer, so worth booking in if you want to enjoy a meal there. For anyone who loves being in nature this is the perfect destination for you; all kinds of wildlife can be spotted in the New Forest; birds; grazing deer; roaming horses and donkeys; even wild pigs! You may even spot yourself a New Forest pony or two, just always keep your eyes open and enjoy what nature has to offer. Fordingbridge is the nearest town and is a short drive away. There are supermarkets and other shops here such as Tesco express and a couple of coffeehouses, craft shops and a gelato bar. The bustling town of Ringwood is also only ten minutes away with more food and supermarket choices. Salisbury is a historical cathedral city with a rich culture and shopping scene and about a twenty-minute drive from Fordingbridge. There is so much to do here, and the high street is an abundance of shops, quirky restaurants and trendy bars. Well worth a visit if you don’t know the area already.

INSIDE

This gorgeous lodge is finished to the highest standard, with an open plan style lounge with skylights and beams decorating the ceiling and wood burning stove to focus on at ground level sat on a gorgeous wood effect floor. Big wide windows let in even more natural light which complements the exquisite grey soft furnishings to match the grey décor. Books and games adorn the shelving in this room surplus to the two TVs available for your use.

Being a single storey property, every room is accessible on the ground floor. Two bedrooms lead off from the lounge and on the other side sits the dining space. The dining table seats eight comfortably just to the side of the lounge area and a small hall/utility area leads on to the kitchen and family bathroom. From the well-equipped kitchen there is another bedroom with ensuite.

The Kitchen

This beautiful light space has everything you need for cooking up an absolute storm for your guests. There is a fridge you can keep fully stocked and all the crockery, plates, pans and glassware you will need for your stay. There is also the usual kettle, microwave and coffee press all sat for easy access on the kitchen worktop. The induction hob and oven is ready for delicious meals to be prepared by yourselves or a hired chef.

Bedrooms

There are three bedrooms with the following configuration.

1 x double bedroom with clothing storage

1 x king size beds, each able to be divided into 2 x single beds.

1 x king size beds, each able to be divided into 2 x single beds plus an ensuite and a table with two chairs to sit around / use to do make up.

There is also some additional accommodation outside of the lodge itself:

Double bedroom annex with 1 x king size beds, each able to be divided into 2 x single beds plus an ensuite.

Shepherds Hut with 1 x king size beds, each able to be divided into 2 x single beds plus an ensuite.

All fresh, crisp bed linen is provided. Rooms are bright and cosy, with comfort the priority so you all have a wonderful night’s sleep once you are done with your partying for the day or night.

Outside & The Hot Tub

Outside on the grounds of The Star Gazer, there is an exquisite hot tub where you can live out the name of your lodge. Sit in the hot tub and stare up at the night sky; gaze at stars and point out shooting stars or spot how many satellites you see. There is nothing quite like being at one with nature and enjoying the simple night noises as you drink your bubbles (or cups of tea if you wish)

There is a BBQ area outside and a table and chairs so that your party can eat breakfast outside. Or start your evenings with nibbles and bubbles while you watch the sun set over the forest.
