It gives your group the best of both worlds. For groups that want the serenity and privacy of the countryside but still want to hit the bars and clubs of nearby Cambridge, The Country Haven is perfectly situated.
Location: Near Saffron Walden & Cambridge
Easy to find and with plenty of parking on arrival, this accommodation is located close to the famous Market Town of **Saffron Walden**. Often referred to in TV and Film scripts when someone is describing somewhere ‘posh’, this charismatic town has some stunning architecture, from original Tudor-style overhanging buildings to the imposing St Marys Church.
Saffron Walden has some superb traditional pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms and is well worth exploring. The town also offers activities like the nearby Vineyard (popular with wine connoisseurs) and some challenging hedge mazes.
You are also close to **Cambridge** for city-type activities and nightlife. Bottomless brunches, cocktail masterclasses and Escape Rooms are all popular. On the periphery of Cambridge, you can enjoy adrenaline-fuelled activities like Clay Pigeon Shooting and Go Karting. However, you can’t mention Cambridge without mentioning **Punting**. These chauffeur-driven gondola-style boats are a great way to see the city, and many of our groups combine punting with Afternoon Tea for that extra touch of class!
Heated Pool, Hot Tub & Gardens
One of the first things you will notice when pulling up the driveway is the beautifully landscaped gardens. The garden area plays host to some of the hugely popular features The Country Haven has to offer. There is a good-sized **Swimming Pool** for you to enjoy an early morning dip or midnight splash (heated from April to October) and a state-of-the-art **Hot Tub**.
The pool house has its own bar area, making for a perfect place to enjoy the barbecue facilities and an ice-cold beverage. The well-manicured lawn is perfect for lazing around in the sunshine or enjoying lawn games. There is plenty of garden furniture for your hen do to use so you can chillax to the max!

The Country Haven features an impressive nine bedrooms, each one decorated with a traditional and quality finish. These spacious bedrooms offer furniture to store your belongings, and all beds come with high-quality linen and towels provided.

The kitchen area is unsurprisingly large. It comes with all the mod cons your group could possibly need, including a good selection of cookware, utensils, glassware, and cutlery. The house also features two separate lounge areas which are great places to relax.
Dining Hall & Games Room
The Country Haven also has a cool **Games Room** area complete with a Poker table if you fancy a game of cards. The humongous Dining area has table space for the entire group, making it the perfect social space for one of our **Private Chefs** to come in and prepare a delicious two or three-course meal.
The dining area is also great for hosting other fabulous in-house activities. Crafternoons, Perfume Making, Murder Mystery, and Psychic evenings are very popular. You may also enjoy the hilarious **Comedy Courtroom Roast**, which sees a professional comedian come and roast the group (and the bride!).
