Country Party House (Sleeps 21)
Close to the Welsh border, this 17th century stone farmhouse has evolved over the centuries into the luxurious and meticulously designed party house you see today. Decorated in a style that acknowledges the owners experiences and travels, the Courtyard Stables offers groups superb social spaces designed with one thing in mind, to bring people together. There are two main buildings, the main house and the guest house. The main house retains its historical features and it’s rustic stone build exterior really has that country cottage vibe. Inside you’ll find modern décor, a countryside kitchen and three reception rooms, perfect for get togethers. The other building, The Stables have been converted into a cosy living space that offer comfortable living in a layout that pay homage to its historical use.
Scenic Welsh Borders & Hay-on-Wye
In a word, Rural! If you want a stag or hen party that gets away from it all and afford you the space to truly stretch out and relax far from the crowded towns and cities, then this house will certainly tock that box. The Courtyard Stables sits approximately eighteen west of Hereford towards the scenic Welsh borders. The nearest train station is Hereford train station and then by taxi, which, are readily available outside the station, making the train, a viable option to get to the Courtyard Stables. The property has loads of free off-road parking for up to 10 cars and because the Courtyard Stables is easy to find using a sat nav, driving there is likely to be the most popular and easiest way to get to the property.
When it comes to supplies for your weekend, there are large supermarkets in Hereford, but they can deliver to the property as shopping and catering for 21 people can be a challenge you can do without! For smaller shops, nearby Hay-on-Wye has convenience stores if you need an emergency pint of milk.
Mobile Hen Activities on the River Wye
The nearby River Wye offers a good selection of activities from canoeing and paddleboarding, whilst our amazing range of mobile activities give your group the perfect opportunity to utilise the houses vast social spaces both inside or outside. Popular ones include a dance class in the gardens with the rolling countryside hills providing a stunning backdrop for active groups, whilst getting creative with adult pottery painting or garter making for a more chilled craft orientated activity or perhaps you would like a cheeky butler to play games and serve you any drinks you’ve brought with you or a private chef to whip up a delicious meal or get involved in a classic ‘who dunnit’ with a Murder Mystery evening with professional actors, the Courtyard Stables social spaces make it possible. Catering Kitchen & Group Dining
The large country kitchen area is another party of the property designed with groups in mind. It comes with four ovens and five induction hobs and plenty of space for food prep, perfect for catering for large groups and has all the utensils needed for you to easily create a feast for the group, whether that’s by yourselves or by a private chef. Clean up is a doddle too, with two dishwashers meaning more fun enjoying yourselves rather than cleaning up. There is ample fridge freezer space to store all your groceries as well as any bottles of wine. The dining area can seat everyone so your group isn’t fractured in different rooms when it comes to mealtimes.

All high quality bed linen is provided as well as a Bath towel and toiletries. We always recommend that you bring an additional towel should you be planning to make use of the wood fired hot tub.
3 Lounges & Games Barn with Darts
There are three reception rooms in the main house, each with comfy sofas and make for great function or activity rooms and each bedroom in the second building, The Stables has its own self-contained chill out lounge area so if you’re planning a little bit of time away from the celebrations, it’s easy to find a little slice of peace and quiet. In addition to the living areas, there is a rustic brick built upper barn close in the grounds, which has been turned into a games room and additional function space, perfect for craft afternoons and other group activities. The Games room includes both Table tennis & Darts for when things get competitive.
3-Acre Grounds, Hot Tub & Firepit
The Courtyard Stables is set within 3 acres and a really nice feature is the landscaped courtyard that has a large outdoor dining area comfortably seating your whole group to enjoy those alfresco dining days in the sun. The large brick built BBQ and firepit allow you to cook up delicious BBQ food and keep you warm as the daylight dims. The wood fired hot tub makes for a perfect cold dip after a walk or you can fire up the stove and soak away in the hot tub enjoying the scenery with a glass of wine. The grounds themselves are perfect for any lawn games you bring with you and with little to no light pollution stargazing is a must at The Courtyard Stables.
