INTRO
Looking for a hen weekend that offers that extra something? Fancy living as if you were Lady Bridgerton, with all the opulence and comfort that may provide? Well then, what you need is a luxury hen weekend house so that you can celebrate your best friend’s upcoming nuptials in the best way possible. The Sash House is the type of gorgeous house in the country that really shows just how the other half live. The house sleeps up to eighteen guests, so you aren’t going to run out of room – trust us!
LOCATION
Located in the Wye Valley, just down the road from the Forest of Dean, the Sash House is surrounded by some of the most beautiful views that you can imagine. But you aren’t as secluded as you might worry that you are – there are pubs within an easy walking distance, so if you want to go out and explore the local villages, we do highly recommend it.
INSIDE
Walking into the main hall of the Sash House, you’ll instantly see just what an amazing luxury hen weekend house it is. The hallway is lit with chandeliers, and the staircase at the end reaches up into the first floor of the property. There are two lounges - well, one is technically a drawing room, but they are both community spaces that you and the girls will find comfortable and you will feel embraced by. The walls are filled with gorgeous artwork, there plenty of seats available with a number of sofas and armchairs, and there’s even a piano in case anyone feels like a singalong (assuming anyone in your party can play anything more complicated than chopsticks!). The drawing room itself is bold and peacock themed, with the strong blues, turquoises and greens shining through from all areas – and the lounge next door has one of the most comfortable oatmeal Chesterfield sofas that you could ever consider sitting on. Don’t worry though, just because the Sash House looks like something from the 19 th century, you aren’t missing any mod cons here – there is a massive 75 inch TV for you all to enjoy watching and Sky TV as well.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The Kitchen in this luxury hen weekend house is really well set up, and provides everything you might need when cooking on your hen weekend. It’s got everything you need – a huge oven, giant fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, all mod cons that you wouldn’t get in the nineteenth century but you wouldn’t want to live without nowadays! The kitchen opens up into the Dining room, which has plenty of space to sit all of you so that you can enjoy your meal alongside each other, with plenty of chatting, drinking and laughing to see you through the meal.
BEDROOMS
As previously mentioned, the Sash House sleeps up to eighteen guests, with eight bedrooms of varying configurations throughout the main house and the Games Lodge next door.
Bedroom 1 – Superking bed with an en-suite bathroom (shared with bedroom 4)
Bedroom 2 – King size bed with an en-suite bathroom
Bedroom 3 – King size bed with an en-suite shower room
Bedroom 4 – Four single bunk beds with shared bathroom facilities
Bedroom 5 – Double bed with bathroom facilities
Bedroom 6 – King sized bed (or two single beds) with en-suite bathroom
Bedroom 7 – King size bed (or two single beds)
Bedroom 8 – Superking bed
All of these rooms are gorgeous, and may have extra features – sofas and chairs in the room, makeup desks, TVs and other modern accoutrements as well – oh and did I mention that one of the rooms even has a roll top bath directly in the room! Don’t panic, there are curtains for privacy, but it does really show what level of luxury the Sash House is offering for your hen weekend.
BATHROOMS
As you can see, three quarters of the rooms have either an en-suite bathroom or private bathroom facilities included with them – there is also another bathroom to serve Bedrooms 7 and 8, and there is also a cloakroom on the ground floor of the main house – meaning that there are a total of seven bathrooms for your party, which ought to be more than enough. It certainly means you shouldn’t find yourselves having to queue for the shower in the morning!
GAMES ROOM
In the Games lodge next door, there is a stunning games room which offers a pool table, a table football table and a dartboard – allowing you plenty of opportunities to compete with the other hens and see who is the best at any of those particular sports. It’s also a really great space to just relax and enjoy a drink in, with plenty of seating and a vibe all of its own.
OUTSIDE
The delights of this luxury hen weekend house don’t stop when you go outside. There is a huge two acre garden that you can explore or simply just relax on the furnished patio and enjoy the views. If you fancy an outdoor sport as a change from the options in the games room, then croquet and badminton are available to you, and also a trampoline – go on, that sounds pretty fun, doesn’t it? There’s also a hot tub – always an essential for any luxury hen weekend house, as it gives you and the girls somewhere to relax, rest your feet, enjoy a glass of bubbly and put the world to rights.
