Luxury Hen Party House in the Forest of Dean

Location: Coleford & Wye Valley
Deans Retreat is located in the town of Coleford, which itself is located in the Forest of Dean (hence the name of the house!). This market town is quaint, peaceful, and beautiful, so if you are looking to spend your weekend relaxing and enjoying yourselves, I cannot think of anywhere better.
If you want to embrace a more traditional big hen night out, then there are several options within driving distance. Gloucester is a 35-minute drive, Newport is 40 minutes, or if you really want to go all out then Cardiff (one of the most popular hen do destinations in the UK) is less than an hour’s drive away. You can have a big night out and still spend the rest of your weekend in this luxurious retreat.
Country House Interiors & Two Lounges
This amazing property is gorgeous, and the moment you walk in you’ll see that. The décor is stunning, the whole vibe is luxurious, and there are not one but Two Lounges right there on the ground floor. One features a big TV and comfy sofas to relax on, and the other has chairs and a sofa surrounding a brick fireplace with a wood-burning stove – giving you that true country house feel.
Chef's Kitchen & Large Dining Room
With a kitchen like this, you aren’t going to go hungry. It’s a true chef's kitchen with everything you could possibly want – all mod cons, a huge American-style Fridge Freezer, massive stove, two microwaves, and everything else you could need. Whether you are planning on cooking a huge five-course banquet or just need the space for making bacon sandwiches, it has you covered.
There’s also a dedicated dining room with a huge table you can all fit round, ensuring that any meals will all be eaten in comfort and style.
11 Bedrooms (Mostly En-Suite)
There’s always a concern about what the sleeping arrangements are going to be whenever you plan a hen do. Deans Retreat sleeps up to twenty-five of you, which is split across eleven bedrooms over three floors.
Bedroom 1: Double bed and sofa bed, en-suite.
Bedrooms 2 & 3: Super king bed (or two singles), en-suite.
Bedroom 4: King size bed, en-suite.
Bedroom 5: Super king bed (or two singles), en-suite.
Bedroom 6 & 7: Double beds, en-suite.
Bedroom 8: King size Bed, two single beds, en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 9: King size bed, one single bed, en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 10: Two single beds, en-suite.
Bedroom 11: Double bed with an adjacent shower room.
As you can see, ten out of the eleven bedrooms have an en-suite! This means that no matter how many of you are trying to get ready at the same time, you’ll easily manage it.
Games Room & Hot Tub Garden
There is one other communal area for you to take advantage of during your luxury hen do, and that’s the Games Room. This has comfy sofas and, taking pride of place in the middle of the room, a pool table – perfect for having some friendly competition once you have had a few glasses of wine!
Outside there is a garden where you can all sit on the furnished patio and enjoy a drink or two while marvelling at the beautiful views. There is also a BBQ for those wonderful summer evenings. And then, the cherry on top is the Hot Tub. It’s the perfect place to sit back and relax after a hard day of exploring.
