Converted Village Pub & Hen Party House
Everyone loves a pub, right? Many of our most memorable times have been in pubs, so why wouldn’t you want to take that idea to a logical conclusion when selecting your luxury hen party house?
The Standing Barn is a converted village pub that, after spending centuries entertaining the locals, is now designed to entertain you and the girls in one of the most perfect luxury hen party houses that we’ve ever seen. Sleeping up to twenty-two guests, and located in a gorgeous village, this is the sort of property you normally only ever see on TV property shows.
There is a large car park, so if you are all coming from different areas that’s taken care of. It has even got a canoe launching point right near the house, so if any of you are into canoeing, that’s yet another tick in the box.
Location: Forest of Dean
Standing Barn is located in the **Forest of Dean**, and as such is surrounded by quaint villages, beautiful countryside, and stunning views as far as the eye can see. It’s a perfect location for a hen party that mixes drinking and dancing with relaxing and recuperating.
There are a handful of pubs and restaurants within a short walk, so you can go out and enjoy yourselves without anyone having to be the designated driver, which is always a huge bonus.
The Old Pub Bar & Lounge
When you enter the Standing Barn, you’ll find yourselves in the huge sitting room. The original heart of the pub, this room has a wood-fired stove and a huge selection of seating for you all to sit back and relax in.
The room next door is the **Bar Room**, which still has a bar any of you can serve behind (so that you can embrace your inner Peggy Mitchell!) while also having plenty of seating including barstools. Doesn’t that sound absolutely wonderful?
Farmhouse Kitchen & Dining
The Kitchen at the Standing Barn has been beautifully configured and restored to give you that old-world feeling with all the spaciousness and convenience of a modern kitchen. With plenty of equipment, all mod-cons, and enough space for several of you to cook at the same time, you won’t have any issues. If you’ve pushed the boat out and hired a **Private Chef**, they will have plenty of room to work!
The Dining Room has classic stone walls and timber beams and has plenty of space to sit all twenty-two of you in one place, ensuring that you’re able to see and chat with each other throughout your delicious meals.
8 En-Suite Bedrooms (Sleeps 22)
Sleeping twenty-two guests in one building is a big task, so the Standing Barn has approached it in the most sensible way possible. All of the bedrooms have either an en-suite or an attached bathroom, meaning that there are eight bathrooms to go with the eight bedrooms.

Most of the bedrooms are on the first floor, with one on the ground floor, ensuring that you all have easy access to your rooms when needed.
Games Room & Entertainment
Just when you think you’ve seen everything at the Standing Barn, something new comes along. In this case, it’s the **Games Room**, which is located in an outbuilding and contains a pool table, a table football table, and a table tennis table.
Garden with Covered Hot Tub
Outside at the Standing Barn is a beautiful garden, perfect for experiencing those stunning views first hand. There’s also a barbecue for those wonderful summer evenings.
And, of course, there is the one ingredient no luxury hen do should be without – a **Hot Tub**. This isn’t just a hot tub in the garden open to the elements; this is a **Covered Hot Tub**, located in the other part of the outbuilding that houses the games room. You and the girls can relax in the hot, bubbling water regardless of the weather outside.
