INTRO
Sometimes you don’t want a hen weekend that’s based in the middle of a busy city. Whether you are just the sort of girls who like it a bit quieter, or you want to feel surrounded by amazing views and experiencing the kind of weekend away that you’ve never had before, then Horizon View is definitely the place for you. This gorgeous farm and barn overlooks a castle and sleeps up to twenty four of you, ensuring that you’ll all have space, freedom and luxury the likes of which you rarely get to experience in real life.
LOCATION
Horizon View is located in a quiet area of South Wales, on a hilltop, with gorgeous views across valleys and a castle. But you’re not completely on your own – just a few minutes drive is a nearby village, so if you need to stock up on essentials etc, it’s nice and easy to get to. What’s even better is that it’s only a forty minute drive to Cardiff – so if you want to balance your Welsh luxury hen weekend with the complete opposite – a mad night out of clubbing and drinks, then you can combine both, making this one of the most versatile hen weekend options available.
INSIDE
Horizon View is split across two buildings, the farm house and the converted barn – both of which are stunning and will take your breath away when you arrive. Both the farm house and the barn have a lounge area, so you aren’t lacking in anywhere to relax, and that’s just the start of the amazing things that Horizon View has to offer you on your Welsh luxury hen weekend.
KITCHEN AND DINING
Let’s talk about kitchens and dining areas shall we? As you might imagine, given that this is two buildings, there are two kitchens and two dining areas. The farmhouse has a classic farmhouse styled kitchen and diner, with everything you need to make a great and nutritious dinner (or just watch someone else make it if you’re not very culinarily inclined), and the barn has not one, but TWO kitchens as well. All three are well set out and filled with all the mod cons you would need for cooking – so whether you are just making yourself a pot noodle or cooking a roast dinner for twenty girls, you’ve got everything you need. For the dining rooms, as mentioned already the farmhouse has a kitchen diner, so there’s a table right there for you to sit down and eat, and in the Barn there is a larger dining area with a big L-shaped table, ensuring that all of you are able to sit down and enjoy your dinner in one big group.
BEDROOMS
Across both buildings, there are a total of ten bedrooms that can sleep up to twenty-four guests, so if there’s a big group of you, don’t panic, everyone will still be sleeping in comfort and luxury. As you can imagine, the bedrooms are split between the farm house and the barn – here’s a breakdown so that you can plan who is sharing with who before you arrive!
Farmhouse Bedroom 1 – One King Size bed, two single beds
Farmhouse Bedroom 2 – Double bed
Farmhouse Bedroom 3 – One King Size bed, two single beds
Farmhouse Bedroom 4 – Double bed
Barn Bedroom 1 – Two single beds
Barn Bedroom 2 – Two single beds
Barn Bedroom 3 – One King Size bed
Barn Bedroom 4 – Two single beds
Barn Bedroom 5 – One King Size bed
Barn Bedroom 6 – Two single beds
The farm house bedrooms are spread across the first and second floor of the property, and the barn bedrooms are all on the ground floor of the barn.
BATHROOMS
The number of bathrooms is always a concern when booking a large property like this for a luxury hen weekend. After all, there may well be a point where several of you are trying to get ready at the same time, and you don’t want to all be fighting over one small basin, do you? Luckily, Horizon View has you covered from this point of view. The Farmhouse has two bathrooms on the first floor, a shower room on the second and a WC on the ground floor, ensuring that wherever you are in the house, you’ll be able to find a bathroom with ease.
In the Barn, there is one bathroom, two shower rooms and two more WC’s, so that brings our total across the two houses up to nine – almost as many bathrooms as bedrooms!
GAMES ROOM
As well as all the luxuries we’ve already described, there is also a games room – one more communal area for you and the girls to relax in! This is well populated with a pool table, table football table, ping pong table and even a piano – so whether you want a competitive game of Pool, a relaxing back-and-forth game of ping pong or just a good singalong (assuming you brought someone who can bash a tune out on the piano), then the games room may well turn out to be one of the most popular areas of the property.
OUTSIDE
And then, we have the outside. I don’t think I’ve done a brilliant job of explaining quite how big and secluded the property is – so let me give you some details. It is set on a thirty acre site – so there’s no-one else on that thirty acres apart from you and the girls. There are large fields, woodlands and an orchard that you can explore if the mood takes you, or alternatively if you fancy yet more games, there’s a grassy area for ball games and even a croquet lawn! There are also sun terraces, a veranda and a hot tub, not to mention a swimming pool – it really is the country house of your dreams.
What are you waiting for? If you are planning a Welsh Luxury Hen Weekend, you need to get in touch right now so that we can check the availability for you and get you the best possible price, so that you and the girls can experience Horizon View for yourselves.
