INTRO
A Manor house sounds like a pretty amazing place for a hen do, doesn’t it? After all, nothing else screams Luxury Hen Do house than a manor house located right by the gorgeous Forest of Dean, in the town where Henry V was born – so you know you are in for a right royal good time! Monmouth Manor sleeps up to twenty-four of you, so if you are after a luxury hen do house for a large group, it’s definitely one to consider!
LOCATION
Located on the edge of the town of Monmouth, you are just a few minutes walk from a loveable, quaint town that has everything you need for a luxurious weekend away – the town has a handful of pubs, all of which are the type of pub you could spend weeks relaxing in! The manor is also on the banks of the River Monnow, so if you want to enjoy some beautiful river views or even do a little bit of wild swimming, this is the perfect luxury hen do house for you. Plus, if you want to mix your luxurious weekend away with a big night out, Cardiff is just a forty-five minute drive away, so a night out in bars and clubs is easily arrangeable, before returning to your luxury hen do house.
INSIDE
When you walk into Monmouth Manor, you will immediately feel like you have just entered one of the poshest places you’ve ever been. The entrance hall is classic and huge, with a staircase ascending one side of the room and the entire area feeling like you’ve entered your own private castle. There are plenty of communal areas dotted around the property as well – there’s the Great Hall (the main living room), which has comfy sofas, beautiful artwork, a TV (of course) and a proper woodburning stove to really give you that manor house feel. There’s also a snug, which is a smaller area in a different part of the house – this is set up as a smaller TV room, so there’ll be no fighting over the TV, since you’ve got two amazing rooms to watch in. If some of you want to watch Love Island and some want to catch up on the latest episode of the Kardashians, you can both do so with no problem whatsoever.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The Kitchen is the sort of kitchen we all dream of having at home! Spacious, well laid out, filled with all the best equipment and hardware you could ever need. Multiple ovens, multiple microwaves, all other mod cons as well – ensuring that whether you are cooking a full meal for all twenty two of you or whether you are all just shoving instant curries in the microwave, you’ll be able to cater for everyone. As far as places to eat are concerned, you have two of those – the Breakfast room (which is smaller and designed for lighter meals) and the dining room (A perfect place for you to all sit down and enjoy your dinner together)
BEDROOMS
“Where am I sleeping?” is the question oft-asked the moment a group arrives at a luxury hen do house, and it’s always a concern. After all, there are people who like each other but absolutely will not sleep in the same room as each other, so it is often the case that whoever is organising the hen do (which I’m guessing is the same person reading this right now) tends to arrange a plan – so to help with that, here’s a breakdown of the eleven bedrooms that Monmouth Manor has to offer.
Bedroom 1 – Double bed with ensuite (containing shower)
Bedroom 2 – Two single beds with ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 3 – Double Bed
Bedroom 4 – Two single beds
Bedroom 5 – Double Bed and two single beds, with ensuite shower room
Bedroom 6 – Two single beds with ensuite shower room
Bedroom 7 – Double bed with ensuite shower room
Bedroom 8 – Two single beds
Bedroom 9 – Double bed
Bedroom 10 - Two single beds with ensuite
Bedroom 11 - Two single beds
Two of these bedrooms are on the ground floor, with the other nine on the first floor.
BATHROOMS
As you can see, six of the rooms have ensuites, which already bodes well for how many bathrooms there are in the property. There is also a family bathroom opposite bedrooms three and four (designed for them to share) and another by bedrooms eight and nine (again, designed for them to share). There is also a shower room on the ground floor, next to the kitchen, designed to provide Bedroom eleven with their own bathroom as well. So that means that there are a total of nine bathrooms – so no worries there!
GAMES ROOM
For those of you who might get a little competitive (or just fancy a fun game), there is also a games room on the ground floor, just off the great hall. This is filled with comfy sofas, as well as a pool table, a table football table and a ping pong table – so whichever of those games are most likely to be your favourite, you can head down to the games room and challenge whoever you like.
OUTSIDE
Outside the property is a great range of outdoor seating where you can relax and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere and beautiful views. There’s also a barbecue area, so if you fancy doing a bit of outdoor cooking, the option is there for you – and there’s also a hot tub, whether you want that to unwind after spending the day exploring, or whether you just want to fire it up and relax in there with prosecco in hand, it’s a perfect way to watch the sun set.
In short, Monmouth Manor has everything you’d expect from a luxury hen do house and a lot more besides – it’s a perfect place to spend an amazing weekend away, so why not get in touch and see if we can get it booked for you and the girls?
