Primrose is only thirty minutes from Edinburgh City Centre (and an equal distance from the airport), which means that no matter how your party are arriving – by car, by plane, all together, in dribs and drabs – it’s easy to find, and has plenty of car parking space. Located on one of the most beautiful country estates I have ever had the fortune to set my eyes on, this luxury hen house in Edinburgh is surrounded by stunning views and it’s very easy to forget that within half an hour you can be in the centre of one of the hardest partying cities in the UK – a perfect balance.
KITCHEN AND DINING
If you’ve got sixteen ladies sharing a house, then you definitely need to give some thought to what the food situation is going to be like. Because let’s be honest, whether you’re just going to get a Chinese delivered or whether someone wants to whip up a full roast dinner, the kitchen and dining areas are essential parts of this luxury hen house. It’s a good job, then, that Primrose is more than capable of handling any food requirements that you and the girls may have. The kitchen is large, well equipped, gorgeous and full of everything you’d need – so if you are planning on cooking up a feast, you won’t have any problems in doing so.
The Dining room is equally as essential for any hen do, and thankfully Primrose doesn’t skimp on that either. In fact, there’s a large dining table that can seat all sixteen of you in one go – so you can all sit down and eat together, which is pretty perfect if you ask me. No squeezing in, no-one eating awkwardly on their lap, all of you sitting around together, chatting, drinking, eating and putting the world to rights. Pretty much perfect.
BEDROOMS
While we are talking about things that are pretty much perfect, the bedrooms at Primrose fit that description. As mentioned, the maximum number of occupants in the house are sixteen, and these people will be split amongst six bedrooms that are spacious and comfortable. The breakdown of the rooms is as follows:
BEDROOM 1 – Can be set up as either a super king sized bed or a pair of twin beds (Sleeps 2)
BEDROOM 2 – Can be set up as either a super king sized bed or a pair of twin beds (Sleeps 2)
BEDROOM 3 - Can be set up as either a super king sized bed or a pair of twin beds (Sleeps 2)
BEDROOM 4 – King sized bed (Sleeps 2)
BEDROOM 5 – One king sized bed, one single bed, and one pull out single bed (Sleeps 4)
BEDROOM 6 - Can be set up as either a super king sized bed or a pair of twin beds (Sleeps 2)
Those of you who are good at maths will have counted up the beds in those rooms and gone “hey, wait a second, that’s only fourteen beds, but you said that you can fit a maximum of sixteen in this house?” – well yes, you can. There are two additional fold out beds that can be put in whichever room(s) you’d like, bringing the total number of beds up to sixteen.
BATHROOMS
The property isn’t lacking in number of bathrooms either – as there are four across the house (three upstairs, one downstairs). Two have showers and two have baths, so whatever your preference is, you won’t have to queue up and wait your turn (or if you do, it won’t be for very long!)
ADDITIONAL ROOMS
One of the best things about booking a luxury hen house in Edinburgh is having communal space to relax in, to drink in, to spend time together and chat until the sun comes up. Primrose has not one, but two additional communal rooms on top of everything we’ve talked about so far, and they are both pretty special. The sitting room is filled with comfortable seating and has an open fire, making it a stunning place to spend a bit of time, and then there’s the games room. Containing a multi games table, you can play pool or table tennis, so it’s the perfect room for a bit of competition to take place in.
OUTSIDE
Just when you think Primrose couldn’t get any more perfect, you open the door and step outside to discover that the wonders have not yet finished. This luxury hen house has a large private garden, with a patio and a barbecue area, making it perfect for you and the girls to enjoy a bit of al fresco dining. There’s also access to a walled orchard which gives you even more outdoor space to enjoy.
