17th Century Luxury Manor House Near Cardiff
Royal Manor is a name that just oozes class, so what better place to go for your hen do than such a classy and luxurious location? Built all the way back in 1684, this property is famous for its sheer size and luxury – a gorgeous house, gorgeous gardens, and all in all a place where you’d be happy to spend a weekend (or maybe more!).
Sleeping up to thirty-two guests, this is a perfect place for you and your group to enjoy a weekend full of the finest things that life has to offer. Fine foods, fine drinks, fine surroundings, and fine company – sounds perfect, doesn’t it?
Location: Rural Luxury an Hour from Cardiff
The Royal Manor is perfectly situated for a group who like both the calm of nature and the options for visiting a busy city all in one weekend. Situated about an hour’s drive from Cardiff, the quiet surroundings make it somewhere you can really let loose, while still being able to pop down the road if you fancy any of the activities or nightlife that Cardiff has to offer.
Grand Interiors & The Great Hall
Stepping into this seventeenth-century marvel, you’ll find yourself surrounded by ornate furniture, beautiful paintings, and everything you’d expect from a house such as this.
The **Great Hall** is one of the absolute high points of the property, with a huge fireplace and seating for up to thirty-six people. Dining in a hall like this is usually reserved for Lords and Ladies, so it’s a real luxury. There is also an amazing, large, fully equipped kitchen that means you can easily cook up the food to be served to the group – obviously, that can either be done by yourselves, or a **Private Chef** if you really want to step the luxury up even further!
Indoor Pool, Hot Tub & Games Room
There are so many options at the Royal Manor for you to relax and chat with your fellow hens. There are three reception rooms – a Drawing Room, a Snug, and the Lounge. The Drawing Room is perfect for entertaining, while the Snug has the comfiest seats in the house for watching TV.
But that’s not all. There is also an **Indoor Pool** at the other end of the house for those of you who fancy a swim, as well as a **Hot Tub** that can fit up to eight people at a time! There is also a **Games Room** next to the pool containing a pool table, dartboards, table football, and a large TV.
13 Bedrooms & 10 Bathrooms
Whenever you are planning a luxury hen do, you need to make sure that the facilities and space are plentiful. There are a total of thirteen bedrooms, four of which have en-suites, so whatever combination of people are looking to share rooms, you’ll have no problem fitting everyone in!
There are six other bathrooms as well as a downstairs cloakroom, so no one is going to find themselves stuck without the use of facilities while getting ready for a big night out or a big night in!
Capability Brown Gardens
Outside is all about the stunning gardens. These were dramatically landscaped in the mid-18th century by the famous landscape architect **Capability Brown**, and they are still considered some of the finest gardens in the area to this day. They contain a series of interconnected lakes, encouraging a wide range of wildlife.
The first part of the garden you are likely to step into is the Walled Garden, which the conservatory opens into. This has plenty of seating and a BBQ so if you fancy something a bit more rustic for dinner, just slap some meat on the grill and enjoy the freedom of outside cooking.
