Royal Manor is a name that just oozes class, so what better place to go for your hen do than such a classy and luxurious location? Built all the way back in 1684, this property is famous for its sheer size and luxury – a gorgeous house, gorgeous gardens and all in all a place where you’d be happy to spend a weekend (or maybe more!)

LOCATION
The Royal Manor is perfectly situated for a group who like both the calm of nature and the options for visiting a busy city all in one weekend. Situated about an hour’s drive from Cardiff, the quiet surroundings make it somewhere you can really let loose, while still being able to pop down the road if you fancy any of the activities or nightlife that Cardiff has to offer, making it the best possible location for a Cardiff Luxury Hen Do.
INSIDE
Stepping into this seventeenth century marvel, you’ll find yourself surrounded by ornate furniture, beautiful paintings and just everything you’d expect from a house such as this.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The Great Hall is one of the absolute high points of the property, with a huge fireplace and seating for up to thirty-six people (just in case you have a few extra for dinner). Dining in a hall like this is usually reserved for Lords and Ladies, for Kings and Queens, so it’s a real luxury to be enjoyed as much as possible whenever you are visiting the Royal Manor.
There is also an amazing, large, fully equipped kitchen that means you can easily cook up the food to be served to the group – obviously, that can either be done by yourselves, or a private chef if you really want to step the luxury up even further!
BEDROOMS
Obviously, whenever you are planning a Cardiff Luxury Hen Do, you need to make sure that the facilities and space is plentiful and well utilised, and the good news here is that the Royal Manor definitely ticks those boxes! There are a total of thirteen bedrooms, four of which have en-suites, so whatever combination of people are looking to share rooms, you’ll have no problem fitting everyone in!
BATHROOMS
As mentioned already, four of the bedrooms have en-suites. But don’t panic if you are in one of the rooms that don’t have one, as there are six other bathrooms as well as a downstairs cloakroom, so no-one is going to find themselves stuck without the use of facilities while getting ready for a big night out or a big night in!
ENTERTAINMENT ROOMS
Where do I start with the entertainment rooms? There’s so many options at the Royal Court for you to relax and chat with your fellow hens – there are three reception rooms – a Drawing Room, a Snug and the lounge. The Drawing Room is perfect for entertaining, so whether you are just entertaining yourselves or planning on getting someone in to do some entertaining, that’s the place to be. The Lounge has a card table and chess board, so if you fancy a quiet game or two, then it’s definitely worth finding a comfy seat in there, or alternatively if you just want to relax and watch some TV, the snug has the comfiest seats in the house.
But that’s not all, there is also an indoor pool at the other end of the house for those of you who fancy a swim, as well as a hot tub that can fit up to eight people at a time! Sounds like that’s more than enough, right? Well no, there is also a games room next to the pool containing a pool table, dart boards, table football and a large TV so if some of you don’t fancy a swim but fancy some other entertainment, the games room has you covered. There’s also a conservatory where you can all sit and take in the gorgeous views.
OUTSIDE
Outside is all about the stunning gardens. These were dramatically landscaped in the mid-18 th century by the famous landscape architect Capability Brown, and they are still considered some of the finest gardens in the area to this day. They also contain a series of interconnected lakes, which encourages a wide range of wildlife to the area, so who knows what sort of animals you may spot?
The first part of the garden you are likely to step into is the walled garden, which is what the conservatory opens into. This has plenty of seating (in fact, between the garden and the conservatory you can seat all of your guests), and there’s even a BBQ so if you fancy something a bit more rustic for dinner, just slap some meat on the grill and enjoy the freedom of outside cooking.
