INTRO
Some Hen Houses are out in the middle of the country, and sometimes that’s great and exactly what you want. But sometimes you want everything – you want a great Lake District Hen Party House, but you’d like it to be in a town so that you can enjoy all the conveniences of being in town while still living the life of luxury that you feel you should be embracing for your hen do.
Well good news everyone, Rydal Pub is here, and is going to be the answer to your dreams! Located in a small Lake District Town, this property has parking on site and can sleep up to sixteen guests, so as you can imagine, it is a pretty perfect venue for any weekend away.
Lake District Party House Location
Located smack bang in the ancient centre of the town of Kendal, Rydal Pub is perfectly located for any weekend away. If you want to take in the sights and view the stunning scenery of the Lake District it’s just a few minutes away by car, and if you just want to explore a small but thriving town and see what it has to offer, you can do all of that on foot! Inside the Party House
As soon as you enter through the classic exterior, you will find yourself greeted by a sight you may well have not been expecting. As while the outside is perfectly in keeping with the classic town aesthetic, inside has been decorated and outfitted with modern decorations and facilities, and you’ll notice that the moment you walk in when you are greeted by a huge recessed TV over a huge recessed fire. This is the lounge area, with two massive corner sofas and other seating dotted around – a perfect place to chill out and socialise.
Kitchen & Dining
This converted pub has made fabulous use of space, and the kitchen and dining area is no exception. Located in what appears to be the old back bar, this open-plan area contains a huge dining table that can easily seat all of your guests, and a modern kitchen filled with all the facilities and utilities you would expect to find. This means that whether you are planning a huge meal, or whether you just need somewhere to pour your cereal in the morning, the kitchen here will more than suffice. It’s so well equipped, in fact, that if you wanted to really push the boat out and hire a private chef to treat you all to a superb meal, they’d have no problem whatsoever preparing any kind of meal in this amazing facility.

The property has seven bedrooms upstairs, with different combinations of beds to make sure that everyone has somewhere that they feel comfortable.

Bathrooms
As you can see from the breakdown of bedrooms above, three of them have en-suites with various facilities in each. There are also two other full bathrooms, and three other cloakrooms, meaning that you’ll never be caught short in need of any kind of bathroom facility here at Rydal Pub.
Cinema & Games Room
Believe it or not, even after talking through all of these areas, there’s still a whole floor I haven’t yet mentioned – the basement. And trust me, it’s worth mentioning because this is where a lot of your socialising is going to take place! At one end of the basement is a pool room, where you and your friends can challenge each other to see who is the best – after all, a little competition is a great social lubricant, as we all know.
But that’s not all the basement has to offer. There is also a cave bar which is exactly what it sounds like – a bar that looks like it is inside a cave. You’ll be Yabba-Dabba-Doing anything you can to stay in there and drink as you embrace the craziness of it all.
There is also a cinema room, with wall to wall sofas, a huge TV and even a popcorn cart to really get you all in the mood to laugh, cry and scream at whatever film you choose to put on.
Hot Tubs & Outside Dining
We haven’t even mentioned outside yet! You might think there wouldn’t be a whole lot of outside area given that this old pub is in the centre of town, but you’d be surprised just how much there is. There’s a boutique garden, filled with seating where you can sit and take in the view over the rest of this quaint town, as well as an outdoor kitchen and that most essential of all items for any Lake District Hen House – a hot tub! Pour yourself a glass of bubbles and then climb into a tub of bubbles and drink as you and the girls watch the sun set in this glorious location.
It all sounds a bit too good to be true, doesn’t it? And I’m sure there is a little voice in your head (or next to you if there’s more than one of you reading this at a time), saying “This looks great, but I bet we can’t afford it!”.
