INTRO

LOCATION

The house is located in the stunning Calder Valley, an area that is well known for it’s amazing views and stunning walks. Whether you just want to explore the Canal (just over the road), or go for a longer walk across the Yorkshire Dales, all things are possible. But don’t worry, this isn’t a super-peaceful, can’t find anywhere to get a bottle of wine kind of situation. There are villages just a few minutes drive away, and Manchester is less than an hour by car, so it’s a perfect intersection of peaceful and filled with entertainments, so you can enjoy both aspects if you choose to stay at this Manchester luxury hen house.

INSIDE

This property is brilliantly well laid out, with the bedrooms spread across all three floors, and the first floor (which is where you enter) housing the huge open plan sitting / dining room as well as the games room and the kitchen as well.

KITCHEN AND DINING

As mentioned, the kitchen and dining area are both on the first floor and they are both pretty damn impressive. The kitchen itself is beautiful, well-equipped, modern and contains everything you’d ever need – if you want to cook everyone restaurant quality meals multiple times a day, it gives you the facilities and equipment to do so. Alternatively if you just want to reheat takeaway and make bacon sandwiches, it’s perfectly fine for that as well! The dining area of the open plan lounge / diner contains a huge long table with enough chairs for all of you to sit comfortably and eat together, which is one of those requirements for a hen do that you’d imagine was easy to organise, but is often overlooked – not here at the Canal though, where it is easy to ensure you all dine together and have the time of your life.

BEDROOMS

When you see that a property sleeps nineteen, there’s always a little worry that some of you are going to be jammed into a multi-bed room, where seven or eight of you are going to have to all get along in a space designed for a smaller number. Not the case here, after all this is a Manchester luxury hen house, and it wouldn’t be luxurious if you were all jammed together like Tuna in a can would it? BATHROOMS

A suitable number of bathrooms is always a significant selling point at any hen house – after all, being able to sleep nineteen people would be inconsequential if there was only one bathroom for you to all fight over! Luckily that, of course, is not the case here. There are a total of seven bathrooms and cloakrooms combined – five of them being en-suite, and the others being easily accessible to all, which means that you won’t have any issues finding a shower to use or a mirror to do your makeup in, even if everyone is trying to get ready at the same time!

OTHER ROOMS

I’ve mentioned that the lounge / dining area is impressive, and it is – it’s kitted out with comfy sofas, a big TV and a huge window that lets you look out over the impressive nearby views, and that’s just one of the additional perks you get from a rooms perspective here at The Canal. The games room is beautiful – again you get a stunning view from it, and it has a pool table, sofa and TV in it for you and the girls to enjoy a drink while you play, and then there’s the roof garden as well, somewhere for you to chill and take in the views.

OUTSIDE

I know I’ve mentioned the gorgeous views multiple times, but it is worth re-stating one more time just how lovely the scenery is here. And as well as taking it in from inside the house, it is also worth taking it in from outside, especially while relaxing in the hot tub, glass of prosecco in one hand, not a care in the world as you relax with your friends.
