INTRO
Nestled in a village, within easy reach of Newcastle lies the fantastic Grand Tyne Manor stag and hen party house. This 14 th century manor house sleeps up to 21 guests in spacious rooms and, like you would expect, has been modernised so you get all the modern conveniences and stylish décor, whilst still retaining many of the features and character from centuries gone by. This really is a property that gives you the best of both worlds, a quieter village setting in which to enjoy the company of your best friends and family all within easy reach the bright lights of a fantastic city and all the fantastic nightlife and daytime activities.
LOCATION
Although The Grand Tyne Manor is located in a village, you’re not far from city life. Those groups wanting to explore Newcastle’s nightlife for it’s awesome vibe after dark, will appreciate that Prudhoe train station is only a 5 minute walk away from the property and once on the train, you’ll be in central Newcastle within half an hour! For those that want to visit Newcastle during the day and prefer to drive, it’s a 13-mile journey and as you can expect from a major city, there’s plenty of parking there. If you need to stock up on supplies or simply want to enjoy some shopping, then the Metro Centre, in Gateshead is only 9 miles away and as you would expect from the second largest shopping centre in the UK, you’ll find your familiar high street brands, eateries as well as smaller independent shops.
Locally there is a village shop a stone’s throw from the property for that emergency pint of milk and other necessities and there are two cracking village pubs within the village that serve food and have a beer garden, perfect for basking in the summer sun with a nice ice cold drink. We highly recommend if you’re planning a pub lunch or dinner, booking a table in advance as they’re very popular venues. For those looking to explore the village, there are plenty of walks and given the proximity of the River Tyne, makes for a scenic walk to blow away any cobwebs from the night before.
At the property you’ll find off road parking for 10 cars and there’s even an EV charger available for those that have electric cars.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the white goods and gadgets you’ll need for your stag or hen weekend. So if you’re planning to self cater for your group, you’ll be able to store your supplies, prepare your meals and the dishwasher makes cleaning up easy. A nice feature is the very cool inset cooking facilities with double oven and a large island perfect for preparing meals for your group. The oak beams typical of the period give the Grand Tyne Manor plenty of character and it’s open plan nature, keeps the group together so the designated chef won’t miss out on the party. There is also a long dining table that you can see in the pictures which makes for a great social space dining for playing games.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The Grand Tyne Manor has 10 spacious bedrooms and rather than cram four or five guests to a room giving it a larger number of guests, the owners have made sure that by keeping guest numbers per room minimal, you enjoy plenty of space to spread out or if you call it a day earlier than your friends, then you’re able to enjoy some quiet time. The bed allocation is as follows:-
Bedroom One has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Two has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Three has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Four has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Five has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Six has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Seven has 2 single beds sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Eight has 3 single beds sleeping 3 guests
Bedroom Nine has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
Bedroom Ten has one king size bed sleeping 2 guests
As with all high-quality stag and hen party houses, all bed linen and towels are provided. We always recommend taking one extra if you’re planning on using the hot tub.
There are six bathrooms in the property with baths and/or showers making getting ready to go out and have fun a doddle!
LIVING AREA
There are two lounge areas at The Grand Tyne Manor, each has a TV with basic satellite or cable packages. Both lounges also have open fires for those colder winter stag and hen dos, and the comfy sofas make both the lounge areas great places to chill out whilst waiting to get ready or enjoying your early morning coffee whilst people are still snoozing!
GARDEN & TERRACE
The Grand Tyne Manor has plenty of space outside to enjoy. There is plenty of garden furniture for you to enjoy the garden and patio and the state of the art hot tub is a welcome addition for most groups. There is a BBQ for when the weather allows and you fancy some alfresco dining and you’ll find the BBQ tools in the kitchen. The garden is large enough to enjoy any lawn games you’ve brought with you like Kubb, bowls or giant Jenga or you can simply relax and enjoy the ambiance of village life.
