LOCATION

Located just a twenty minute drive from the centre of York (which itself is a hen do destination that increases in popularity year after year), Rustic Charm is surrounded by.. well.. rustic charm! But you could have guessed that from the name, I’m sure. In short, it’s a perfect location for any Luxury York Hen Do – quiet enough that you won’t disturb anyone if it gets a little loud and lairy, but well located enough that taxis are easily bookable to take you out and about to visit the centre of York if you fancy a night out!

INSIDE

Walking into this converted farmhouse, you’ll instantly feel at home. The entire vibe is welcoming and has a traditional living room with comfy sofas, a long burner and a TV, so sitting back and relaxing is easy the moment you arrive!

KITCHEN

The property has a fully equipped kitchen for everything you and the girls might need to cook over the weekend. Whether you are planning an elaborate banquet for every meal or just need somewhere to bash together bacon sandwiches in the morning, it’ll suit every requirement. It’s also big enough and well enough equipped that if you wanted to go the whole hog and really embrace your luxury York Hen Do, you could hire a private chef to come in and cook for you.

BEDROOMS

There are two bedrooms in the main house, each of which has bunk beds to give you that cosy, group weekend away feeling. There’s also a third bedroom in the woodshed, which is a standalone bedroom just behind the property, which contains a double bed and two singles, so you’ll all have somewhere comfy to sleep and somewhere to call your own throughout the weekend away.

BATHROOMS

Sometimes a worry in a converted farmhouse like this is that they’ve scrimped on the bathroom in order to maximise other spaces, but don’t worry, that’s definitely not a problem here. There is a fully featured bathroom containing bath and a shower and all the other facilities you’d expect, so there won’t be any issues when you are all getting ready to go out.

THE BAR

That sub-heading has caught your eye hasn’t it. Yes, it’s true. As if Rustic Charm didn’t have enough going for it, there’s a bar on site! Containing a bar, a lounge area with a wood burner and Sky TV, it’s one of the high points of this property, and is certainly somewhere to spend a lot of time on your Luxury York Hen Do. And I haven’t even mentioned the fact that there is a pool table and a dartboard in the bar as well! Whether you want to have a few drinks and chat away, or get competitive in rounds of killer pool, or stick on a terrible film and bask in it’s awfulness, the private bar on site will give you the space to do any of this, making it perfect for all kinds of socialising. In fact, the last people we spoke to who stayed there spent almost every day in the bar, because once you’ve got comfy, why would you need to go anywhere else?

OUTSIDE

And so we come to the outside. You might be worried that this could be considered a let done given the absolutely outstanding state of the rest of the property, but don’t worry, that is really not a risk whatsoever. The first thing you’ll notice outside is the gorgeous views of the stunning Yorkshire countryside, and you’ll be pleased to hear that the patio has a generous amount of seating for you to sit back and take in the view. There is also, as is often the case at luxury hen houses, the option for a bbq outside (in case no-one wants to make the kitchen messy), and the crown jewel of this Rustic Charm property is a hot tub. Yes, that’s right, you and the girls will have your own private hot tub in the garden where you can enjoy a drink and a relax while watching the world go by and breathing in that clean and fresh Yorkshire air. Sounds pretty great, doesn’t it?
