When you arrive at the Sunset Serenade, you’ll be welcomed by a large traditional farmhouse with plenty of on-site parking. However, appearances can be deceiving, and as soon as you enter the property, you’ll experience the magic of its interior and the party vibe it will add to your weekend. With its stylish Pop Art-inspired feature walls throughout and the clever use of style and space, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re in a stylish Spanish villa rather than a converted farmhouse just outside the City of York. Location

The Sunset Serenade York hen do accommodation is only a nine-mile drive from the historically important town of York, once heralded as the Capital of Northumbria, after the Vikings paid the area a visit and decided to stick around! This will, of course, be a major draw to the city for any fan of this period of history, and the Jorvik Centre is well worth a visit to immerse yourself and learn more about the history of this charismatic city. The city itself is a hive of activity from dawn to dusk, with an abundance of activities available to do on your stag and hen do, both in the daytime and well into the early hours. During the daytime, there’s a wealth of activities for stag and hen parties to enjoy, with Escape Rooms and High Ropes courses for those seeking a challenge, while for the more adrenaline minded, Go Karting, Zorb Football, and Quad Biking should satisfy that itch. Other fantastic activities include the hilarious Cocktail Making Masterclasses, Party Boat, and the Boozy Bottomless Brunch, which is an ideal way to start your evenings and nights out. And, of course, there’s the ever-popular Horse Racing at York Racecourse, which is a fantastic day out and a great excuse to get dressed up and enjoy a day at the races. To put an extra cherry on top of the cake, on select dates at the Racecourse, they’ll put on evening entertainment so you can dance the night away.

You’re not short of options in the immediate vicinity of the Sunset Serenade either. There is plenty to do in the town, with cafes and pubs all within walking distance for that much-needed breakfast or dinner boost if you don’t fancy self-catering.

The House

Outside

Outside the Sunset Serenade are the impressive grounds, and these gardens are as much ‘a star of the show’ as the house itself. This large and well-maintained area is very secluded and surrounded by fallow fields and a very funky feature wall, giving your group maximum privacy, meaning you can relax fully and enjoy your weekend without prying eyes from neighbours! The garden is large enough to offer both shaded areas if you want a break from the summer sun and plenty of grassy areas in which to catch some rays. During the cooler hours of the evening, fire pits are available for you to use and are perfect to keep the party going. There is plenty of seating available in the form of deckchairs and garden furniture sets, and there is a large raised covered decking area with plenty of seating in which you can relax or party. There’s also a large brick-built barbecue on the decking area available for you to use if you fancy some alfresco grilling, and the handy nearby bar area means you won’t have to go far to keep your glasses topped up.

If your York stag or hen do fancies having a mixed games tournament, then there is an outside table tennis table, and there’s also a superbly decorated games room which includes a pool table and an arcade machine to enjoy during your stay.

It would be worth mentioning at this point that throughout the Sunset Serenade, there is so much social space large enough to host any number of activities to entertain you and your group. The Sunset Serenade also has the luxury of four spacious and fully equipped bathrooms, meaning you’ll never have to queue too long to get ready for an evening out, but let’s be honest, with so much to do in the property, there’s plenty to keep you entertained while waiting!

The comfortable lounge area comes complete with a large TV and full package that includes the all-important sports channels so you can get together for the big match. The comfy sofas are perfect for movie nights and chilling when you’re having a little downtime from partying. The Sunset Serenade has a fantastic kitchen area that comes equipped with all the appliances that you could possibly need for your York stag or hen do. From white goods like a washing machine and dishwasher, meaning less cleaning up, to the toasters and kettles for your early morning caffeine hit! This kitchen has it all.
