This distinguished Grade II listed Victorian townhouse is a popular choice for hen parties looking for a touch of class for their weekend away. This charismatic York hen party house is a fantastic base for your celebrations.
The Victorian House is a spacious property offering accommodation over three stories and can accommodate up to 16 guests in 4 spacious bedrooms. This Hen Party House also comes with 3 bathrooms to keep things convenient for your group. The house has been stylishly decorated with a modern feel, yet still retains much of its original Victorian character.
Location: Near The Shambles & River Ouse
The Victorian House is within easy walking distance from York city centre, where hen parties will find some fantastic branded and independent cafes, restaurants, and bars.
There is also plenty of retail therapy nearby, the most notable being **The Shambles**, thought to be the oldest shopping street in Europe and famous for being the inspiration for Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter world. The Shambles is only a short 8-minute walk from the Hen Party House. For more mainstream shopping the main High Street is only 2 minutes away.
There's more in the vicinity than just eating and drinking. There’s the **Jorvik Viking Centre**, plenty of walking tours, and **Ghost Tours** (after all, York is one of Europe’s most haunted cities!). The **River Ouse** is literally next to the house, meaning you can easily hop on a Party Boat Cruise or even try kayaking.
Getting to the house couldn’t be easier. For those planning to drive, there is a car park a few minutes away, or if you are arriving by train, the station is only a 15-minute walk from the house. Easy Peasy!
Kitchen & Social Dining
The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything your group could need. Appliances include an American fridge freezer to keep your vino cold, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, and a dishwasher (because let's face it, no one wants to do the washing up on a hen party!).
There is also a breakfast bar with 2 dining tables that are able to seat everyone, making this the perfect social space for mealtimes and games.

The Lounge features a single sofa bed, a double sofa bed, a corner sofa, and a flat-screen TV.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Includes 1 double & 1 single bed, as well as a single sofa bed (Sleeps 4). Large wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: 3 single beds.
Second Floor:
Bedroom 3: 1 double bed and 2 single beds (Sleeps 4).
Bedroom 4: 1 double bed (Sleeps 2).
The 3 bathrooms in this property have a choice of a bath or walk-in shower. There is free WiFi throughout the property.
