Godfrey Manor is on the shores of Carsington Water, one of the country’s largest reservoirs which is located in the southeastern area of the Peak District, so you know that you will be surrounded by stunning scenery, gorgeous views and some of the most relaxed vibes that you’ve ever experienced in your life. It gives you the perfect combination of having a secluded luxurious hen weekend while still being close enough to a couple of local towns for essential facilities – and if you really want a big night out alongside your luxurious hen weekend, then Nottingham is only an hour’s drive away, so you can easily arrange transport out for a night of clubs, bars and fun, and still get back to your luxurious accommodation.

The old saying is that an army marches on its stomach, and while I am not for a moment suggesting that your hen weekend is like an army, the rule certainly holds true for any large group of people congregated in one place. So an essential part of any luxurious hen weekend is ensuring that you have some of the best and most requested kitchen facilities – and rest assured, Godfrey Manor is not going to let you down in this aspect. The Kitchen in this stunning house is filled with all of the mod-cons and facilities you would expect, hope, and require of anywhere you are planning a luxurious hen weekend, so it doesn’t matter whether you are preparing a five course meal, or simply warming up leftover pizza, the kitchen will provide everything you could possibly need.
There is also (as you might expect from a manor house) a separate dining room, ensuring that there is enough space for all of you to sit down and enjoy your meals together, without having to cram into a space that is too small or not designed to accommodate you eating and drinking to your hearts content.
Spacious Bedrooms
As previously mentioned, the property does sleep up to twenty guests – these are spread across ten bedrooms with a variety of bed configurations, so have a glance down the list below and you can immediately start to plan who is sharing with who!
BEDROOM 1 – One Emperor Size bed and an en-suite bathroom
BEDROOM 2 – One Super King Sized bed, or can be re-configured to be two single beds if preferred

Bathrooms
Another room type that is always important whenever a group of girls is staying somewhere is bathroom space – after all, if you are on a luxurious hen weekend, you don’t want to find yourselves queuing for the bathroom in the mornings. Well don’t worry on that front, as Godfrey Manor has plenty of bathrooms. Bedroom 1 (as previously mentioned) has an en-suite bathroom, and as well as that, the property has five more bathrooms spread over the top two floors (as well as a couple of cloakrooms on the ground floor as well) – so whether you are after a shower, are just trying to brush your teeth or need to touch up your makeup, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
Chill Out Spaces
Most of the rooms we’ve discussed here are on the first and second floors, but what about the ground floor? Well, apart from the kitchen and dining room, there are three other large, communal rooms that you can enjoy amongst yourselves. The first is the Piano Room, which contains (as you might have guessed from the name) a Piano! This is a beautiful spot in which you and the girls can hang out, chat and just enjoy each other’s company (and if anyone is a pianist, they can entertain you!). There’s also a TV room, which does exactly what it says on the tin – it has comfy sofas, plenty of atmosphere, and a TV for you all to enjoy, and then there is the Games room, which contains a pub-sized pool table. This is perfect for when you and the girls fancy a game!
Hot Tub in Countryside Surroundings
Outside, there is a beautiful terraced garden to relax in and enjoy those stunning views, and with the property being set in such wonderful landscapes, you’ll want to spend time out, relaxing, with a glass of prosecco in hand drinking in the beauty of the local area and there's even a hot tub to relax even further.
