INTRO
A luxury hen house in Edinburgh is one of those Edinburgh hen do requirements that has become more and more essential as time goes on. After all, which would you prefer – to stay in a luxury house where you can live like queens, or all cramming into a few rooms at a local mid-price hotel? LOCATION
Heather is located just thirty minutes drive from Edinburgh City Centre, and a similar distance from the airport – so whether you are trying to travel by car or by plane, it’s easy to get to and stunning once you have arrived. In fact, everything about the location of Heather is perfect. As I have already mentioned, it’s located on the grounds of a stunning countryside estate, meaning that there are gorgeous views in every direction, but it is still close enough to the city centre that you can enjoy a raucous night out and easily get back to your luxurious accommodation for a good nights sleep (or mornings sleep, depending what time you get back!)
KITCHEN AND DINING
One of the most important aspects of any luxury hen house in Edinburgh is the kitchen – because as we know, any party tends to migrate to the kitchen at some point during the evening, so it needs to be spacious, well equipped and have the right vibe to keep the party going. The kitchen at Heather has all of this. It’s a perfect size for this farmhouse, brilliantly equipped and filled with all the mod cons you would expect of a modern kitchen.
The dining room is no slouch either. It’s adjacent to the kitchen, so it’s exceptionally easy to serve food from the kitchen to the table – and speaking of the table, it’s got more than enough space to sit you all together and enjoy a meal. So whether someone’s planning to cook up a slap-up dinner, or whether you just need somewhere to sit around and eat the takeaway you are planning to get in, you’ll have no issues here. In fact, the kitchen and dining area is so well equipped, that if you wanted to really push for the height of luxury, you could easily get a private chef in to cook any meal you fancied – if that sounds interesting, don’t forget to ask us to include it in your quote!
BEDROOMS
But what about the bedrooms? After all, a hen do may party on its stomach, but without suitable places to rest, the whole weekend could go very wrong very quickly. Luckily that is unlikely to ever be a problem at Heather, as the four bedrooms are gorgeous, and each have the same bed configuration options. Yes, each of the rooms can either contain a king sized bed, or be split into a pair of twins, so whatever your preference when sharing a room, you can easily arrange for it to be as you like it.
BATHROOMS
We’ve covered the kitchen, the dining room, the bedrooms, but what about the bathroom situation? After all, if there are eight of you staying there, you’re going to need more than one bathroom. The good news is that there are plenty of bathrooms at Heather – three in fact! All three are luxurious and contain everything you’d expect – all three have showers and one has a luxury roll-top bathtub as well, so if you want to feel just that bit more decadent, that’s the bathroom to choose!
ADDITIONAL ROOMS
It all sounds a little too good to be true, doesn’t it? Great bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, kitchen with a perfect vibe, but what about other communal spaces? OUTSIDE
I know I’ve mentioned the views already (twice I think), but it’s worth re-stating that as soon as you go out into the garden, the sheer beauty may well take your breath away. But beauty is not the only thing the outside of Heather has going for it. The patio garden has plenty of seating, so if you want to sit outside and relax with a drink, you can do so, and there’s also a wood fired hot tub that you can include in your booking if you wanted to (and who wouldn’t want to?). After all, relaxing in that with a glass in hand and the sun setting on the horizon sounds like an absolute perfect end to a day (or start of an evening), doesn’t it?
