Location: Buxton & Bakewell
With the Peak District on your doorstep, there is an abundance of scenic walks to enjoy. For the thrill-seekers, you can abseil off the Millers Dale Bridge, which is just a five-minute drive from The Star. For those less adventurous, you can take a relaxing walk through the village of Taddington. As one of England’s highest villages, a stroll through town allows you to take in the picturesque scenery.
A trip to the Peak District wouldn’t be complete without a country pub. Traditional pub food and a large variety of drinks are on offer at **The Queens Arms**, a five-minute walk from your accommodation.
The Star is situated between the towns of **Bakewell** and **Buxton**, both of which are highly recommended to visit. Buxton is surrounded on three sides by the Peak District National Park. As well as its famous tart, the town of Bakewell has a lot to offer. There is both a Farmers’ Market and independent shops here where you can sample the local produce. **Thornbridge Brewery** is also a perfect place for your group to try out amazing craft beers.

Up to twenty-four guests can be seated here, making it the social hub of the weekend. Double doors open out onto a patio where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink or two.
Lounge & Billiards Room
In The Star House, the lounge is characterised by its country charm, with a log burner set in an original stone fireplace. Off this is a **Games Room** featuring a **Billiards Table**—perfect for a bit of competitive fun!
The two smaller cottages each have their own separate living areas, ideal for cosying up with a hot chocolate and a good book if you need a break from the main party.
