Historic Party House Near Ashbourne
The Peak District is always a popular choice for a stag or hen do. Not only is it one of the most scenic places in the country, but it’s the perfect destination in which to get away from it all and enjoy some country-style living with your best friends.
The Swan is a spacious townhouse located deep in the Derbyshire Dales. On the outskirts of The Peak District, it is a property steeped in history; originally built in the thirteenth century, today's Swan Party House incorporates later buildings dating from the Georgian period. This gives the house a charismatic and traditional vibe. The mix of olden architecture and modern creature comforts will give you both a homely and luxurious base for your weekend.
Location: Peak District National Park
This lovely Party House is located just five minutes out from the old market town of **Ashbourne**, lined with cobblestone streets and cultured Georgian townhouses. The Swan is just a mile shy of the south boundary of the Peak District National Park.
You couldn’t be in a better position to see the best of the southern White Peak. A National Trust area to visit is the idyllic **Dovedale** and its grass-topped ravine. Cyclists can link into specific routes via the **Tissington Trail**, which has bike hire centres nearby. The village itself has over 200 listed buildings going back to Tudor times, plus two outdoor markets which trade each week.
Dining Conservatory & Games Room
The inside has a modest décor given the history linked to this area. On the ground floor, there is an impressively large lounge with big sofas lining the room and a wall-mounted TV for entertainment.
A standout feature is the **Large Dining Hall Conservatory** fitted out with tables and chairs. Leading out from this room to the outside is an enclosed courtyard garden. On the ground floor, there is also a bedroom with wheelchair access, and a **Games Room** complete with an air hockey table.
Kitchen with Bar Area
The modern kitchen has everything you need to cook up a fabulous breakfast! It is beautifully designed with shiny black countertops and an island in the middle for extra chopping space.
There is a **Bar** propped up in the corner for pouring out the bubbles and mixing up the cocktails for your party. Bar stools also accompany the bar. There are plenty of utensils and lots of gorgeous crockery to ensure you want for nothing if you cook up meals yourselves.
