Perfect for hen and stag dos alike, This fantastic Peak District stag do accommodation is ideal for groups who want to get away from busy day to day lives and head out into the country with a group of your mates and celebrate the grooms last night of freedom in peaceful surroundings. Ideal for stag dos who are up for exploring the Famous Peak District but equally great for groups who not only crave a slice of outdoors adventure but would also like to enjoy a night out in nearby cities and enjoy the fantastic nightlife. The Swallow 2, stag party house is perfectly located on the outskirts of the Peak District only a short drive to the nearby city of Derby giving easy access to both. Many of our stag dos that stay at the property utilise the space and facilities in the party house rather than seek out the bright lights of the city and enjoy the local pubs and in-house stag do activities that can be added to your stag package, one of our most popular activities is the hilarious Comedy Roast that sees a professional comedian visit the property (and with a little prior help) roast the stag. Poker nights are also very popular for stag dos that stay here.

This charming accommodation sleeps up to twelve guests and is the perfect base to discover the surrounding areas, such as the lake district, or Alton Towers. Cossington Water is also right on your step; a hub of waterplay and activities. The whole space is completely your own for your stay with complete privacy. From stepping foot inside the property, to the breath taking views from the grounds outside, you will feel inspired by the grandeur of the Swallow 2. Amenities include a hot tub, a private patio area with BBQ facilities and an outdoor pool in the summer months (The pool is shared with a neighbouring property, unsurprisingly called the Swallow 1!)

LOCATION

Located near the waters edge of Cossington Water deep in the Derbyshire Dales, this fabulously modern cottage is a gateway to the Peak district. From here you can explore the local villages, bike paths, hiking routes or use the car to go further afield to places such as Alton Towers or Gullivers Kingdom theme parks. Cossington Water is a reservoir and a major hub for leisure activities such as walking, cycling (cycle hire is available), fly fishing, bird watching, sailing, canoeing and windsurfing. There is a great deal of open land surrounding the reservoir; so much land, that within the facilities around the visitor centre, there are often events hosted here. This includes a music festival – “The Festival of the Peak”. Wirksworth is a market town, formerly a quarry town, with its market day still held on a Tuesday in the Memorial Gardens. There are also various other shops and eateries should you adventure here.

INSIDE

The inside is decorated in a contemporary farmhouse style. Characterized by wooden beams in the ceiling, and wooden farmhouse chic doors, the evenings will be cosy and comfortable sinking into the deep cushions of the living room sofas. The kitchen is finished in a modern sophisticated style with integrated appliances. It flows effortlessly into the open plan living area; which has a large TV and DVD player and the dining area has two long solid oak tables and leather chairs for seating. Browns and blacks dominate the colour scheme here, inviting you to escape for a cosy read in the armchairs, or use the area to gather and socialise with drinks and nibbles with your party. Across the entire ground level lodging, there is attractive lighting and a mixture of wooden flooring and carpets. All the bedrooms have ensuites attached to give that classy edge to each room – plus plenty of room for getting ready in the evening or before daytime hen or stag do activities.

The Kitchen

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for the Jamie Oliver of your crew to cook you up a storm for breakfast! There is an integrated fridge freezer you can keep fully stocked and all the crockery, plates, pans and glassware you will need for your stay. A kettle, microwave, oven and hob all positioned to make this space user friendly, and the stone look tiles compliment this faultless modern design.

Bedrooms

There are five lovely bedrooms, each delightfully named after a bird to be found in the nearby stretch of water. Crisp clean bed linen is provided for each of the bedrooms, and you will find the rooms are in the following configuration:

Bedroom 1 - 1 x superking OR 2 x singles plus 2 further single beds and an ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 2 - 1 x superking OR 2 x singles and an ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 3 - 1 x superking OR 2 x singles and an ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 4 - 1 x double bed and an ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 5 - 1 x superking OR 2 x singles plus additional single bed and an ensuite bathroom

Outside & The Hot tub

Take a step out of this beautiful property and you will be greeted by a charming garden area; there is plenty of room here for roaming or playing games and there is access to acres of communal grassland just outside the grounds of the Swallow 2. Within the communal grounds there is access to a shared swimming pool with further seating and tables. Perfect for the summer months when the sun is bright, and the air is warm. Within the garden area of Swallow 2 you will have access to your own private patio area with BBQ facilities and of course the wonderful hot tub next to the seating area, making it a perfect outdoor social hub to spend your time over your stay. Gaze up at the stars at night time or dance the night away al fresco listening to good tunes. Hire butlers in the buff to really take advantage of how the other half live, whatever you choose to do to enjoy your time in this idyllic location, you shouldn’t fail to have an amazing time!
