Grand Country Manor House (Sleeps 19)
On the South East side of the fabulous Peak District, you’ll find one of our most popular Party Houses. The Swallow was built in 1804; this listed building is a grand country house Manor located in the Derbyshire Dales. The proximity to the stunning National Park is one of the main reasons stag and hen weekends consistently choose this superb accommodation.
This charming accommodation sleeps up to nineteen guests and is the perfect base to discover the surrounding areas or Alton Towers. The private space is entirely your own (except the shared use of a swimming pool). There is ample parking for all guests who travel by car. Free WiFi is available throughout the property grounds which include a fabulous outside area for seating and activities.
Location: Near Carsington Water & Derby
Located deep in the folding landscape of the Derbyshire Dales, this striking party manor is easy to reach by car. The closest attraction is **Carsington Water** right on your doorstep, which is a reservoir and a major hub for leisure activities such as walking, cycling, fly fishing, and windsurfing.
The nearest City is **Derby**, which is a 30-minute drive, whilst **Nottingham** is an hour away for any of the group who fancy seeing some city lights and dancing the night away. “The Miners Arms” pub is a short walk away from your accommodation, and for supplies, the nearby town of **Ashbourne** has a myriad of shopping choices.
There’s no shortage of in-house entertainment available. We have an extensive range of activities that can be booked as part of your package. A couple that would work really well at this accommodation is the hilarious Comedy Roast or the ever-popular Murder Mystery featuring professional actors.
Grand Dining Hall & Log Burner
This gorgeous manor is decorated tastefully but still practical to ensure you have a comfortable stay. The **Grand Dining Hall** is rustic in style with wooden beams in the ceiling and a majestic feature fireplace, with a cosy log burner in the centre. Striking solid oak tables characterize this room. The size of this room really lends itself to being the main hub where you can play games and have your early evening nibbles and drinks.
The lounge features big windows that let in lots of light, giving a roomy, airy feel. It is great for curling up to a good book or working your way through the DVD collection on the large screen TV.
Farmhouse Kitchen with Aga
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to delight your guests if you are planning to cook up food in the manor. With such a large dining hall fitting in all the guests, it may be a nice idea to get a **Private Chef** in to cook for you!
The kitchen is beautifully finished in a rustic style with farmhouse chic cupboards and an **Aga Oven** taking up half of one side. There are the usual appliances you would expect including a dishwasher, microwave, and fridge freezer.

The **Swimming Pool** is shared with a neighbouring property, offering further seating and grassy areas to spread out. It is perfect for the summer months when the sun is bright and the air is warm.
