The first thing you are probably thinking is, why would I pick Poznan as a destination for a stag do? And there are so many good answers to that question that I could fill this whole page with them! For a start, it’s an amazing destination, and it is great value for money. Couple this with the fact that it’s not one of the obvious stag destinations so a lot of lads won’t have ever visited, and also with the fact it’s got one of the best atmospheres for a night out we have ever experienced, and it’s easy to see why it’s shooting up the popularity charts as an option!
Flights to Poznan are usually easy to find, reasonably cheap (in fact, depending on the times and days you are happy to travel, you could be looking at some absolute bargains), and there are direct flights from airports all over the country – so it doesn’t matter whether you are trying to fly from Edinburgh or from Bristol, you’ll easily find flights to get you to Poznan and they won’t break the bank.
Once you’ve got to Poznan, getting around is easy. There are plentiful travel options around the city, with trams and buses galore, and they aren’t expensive either! In fact (at the time of writing), you can get a 24 hour public transport ticket for less than £4, which I think you will agree is an absolute bargain!
There are plenty of great accommodation options in Poznan for you and the guys to consider – no matter what your requirements or budget level, you won’t have any issues finding somewhere that suits what you are after. If you are the sort of group who literally just want a bed and don’t really care about anything else, then there are hostels or bargain hotels available. If you prefer to all be gathered together then apartment options are plentiful, and if you really want to push the boat out and have a luxurious weekend, then there are plenty of high quality hotel options for you as well.
You will not be lacking for things to do on a Poznan Stag Do, as there are a huge amount of options to choose from. The most popular is the Firearms shooting, because it’s one of those activities you don’t get the chance to try in the UK, so why wouldn’t you embrace it whole-heartedly when you are abroad? But that’s obviously just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Poznan is able to offer you. If you are looking for physical, competitive activities, then why not consider Dodgeball, Bubble Football or the absolute insanity that is Human Table Football?
Alternatively, if you want to incorporate a bit of motorsport into your amazing Poznan Stag Do, why not add one of the Quad Biking, Go-Karting or Segway options? That way you can enjoy a bit of wheeled entertainment and also a healthy bit of competition all rolled into one!
If you are after something truly unique for your Poznan Stag Do, then there are a couple of options we’d highly recommend. The first (which is dependant on the weather) is going for a Husky Ride. Only available in the winter months (Dec-Feb), this is unique to Poznan and sees you racing Husky dogs down a five hundred metre track – which I guarantee is harder to do than you think it is! Another option is the Naked Sushi dinner – don’t worry, you aren’t the naked ones – it’s simply your chance to eat Sushi off a stunning naked woman. Based on the ancient Japanese practice of Nyotaimori, this is an honour that used to be given to victorious Samurai, and it’s something that most of you would probably never have tried before!
Poznan is famed for it’s food scene, as it covers everything from traditional Polish dishes right through to international classics – so whether you are keen to eat local or just want to eat food you know you enjoy, you’ll have no issues satisfying your hunger on your Poznan stag do! We’d highly recommend you dig into some Polish classics like pierogi (dumplings with various fillings), Bigos (a stew which comes in many variations), and Poznan’s speciality – Pyry z Gzikiem. (Potatoes that incorporate cheese and chives).
As far as what to drink goes, there are some amazing polish craft beers there (Piwna Stopa being a particular favourite of ours), and obviously you can’t go to Poland without enjoying some of their amazing Vodka – trust me, if you haven’t had Polish vodka IN Poland, then you are missing out!
The Nightlife in Poznan is absolutely amazing. As mentioned earlier, the atmosphere is incredible, so that in itself is a reason to pick a Poznan Stag Do. A good place to base yourselves around is the Old Town’s Ulica Wroclawska, which is filled with great pubs and bars for you to pick between (or see how many you can visit in one night!). If you’ve never been and fancy a hand getting to know the area, we’d highly recommend a guided bar crawl on your first night, as these are run by friendly and knowledgeable local guides who will take you to the best spots and help educate you so that you have a better understanding of where to visit during the rest of your Poznan stag do.
