Nottingham has long been a popular destination for hen dos. Many scientists have theorised that it may be to do with the city’s placement within the country itself, and the relative closeness of other towns and cities that you can easily get to it from. We just think it’s because a Nottingham hen do is a bloody good time.
This city has been around for millennia, its name originating from the Saxon Chieftain who ruled the area whose name was “Snot”, so he named it “Snotingaham” which literally translates as “the homestead of Snot’s people” (no I’m not making this up). They may not have been doing hen dos back then, but they’ve certainly been a fixture of this city since they first became popular in the middle of last century.
You won’t have any challenges in finding somewhere to stay on your Nottingham Hen Do. This city has everything you could ever think of as options for accommodation, ranging from local guest houses right through to the poshest hotels you can imagine.
